I am in a movie class and I am working on a presentation that is requiring to take a small clip from a movie and put it into a powerpoint document. I have the original movie in dvd format. How can I cut out this clip from the movie and insert it into a powerpoint document?

Hi,

You need a screen capture program to grab the movie while it's playing.

If the movie is copyrighted, you might get some grief from the screen capture program.

My favorite capture programs are SnapZPro (Mac) and Camtasia (Windows), But I use them quite a bit and they're not free.

There's a new, free product called Jing (haven't tried it yet) for short video capture. I put the link below.
