i've gotten flea bites before and it usually had a white halo around the bites and you could see a "bite mark", but lately i have been having bites that don't resemble this. does this mean some other bugs or biting or is it that i'm just immune to the flea bites and stopped having the white halo around the bites?

It could be any insect bite, especially this time of year. If you have fleas in your house, it could be flea bites. Flea bites vary according to the size of the flea. Newly hatched fleas don't need as much blood and don't leave as big a bite as larger fleas do. Also fleas can carry Bubonic Plague, so please if you have pets, use Advantage on them to kill the eggs and adults. They are miserable too.

If it's just your house you have infested, you need a professional to come in and spray. They have access to chemicals we don't and guarantee the spraying for at least 3 months.

Good luck.

I've always just seen a red spot. Not a halo or anything. I never did itch either. But, it has been 10 years since I have been bitten. My Grandmother went to the dermatologist with some bites and he said that there will always be more than one. Doubt I was nay help. Hope you figure it out!!

You said it looks like a halo. Are you sure it's not a tick bite?
I had a bite that looked like that and I tottally ignored it untill it got big, it looked like a target. I went to the doctor and sure enough it was a tick bite and I got lyme desease. Please go check it out, just to be sure. it can treated and you can get rid of it if you treat it early enough. Don't just sit wondering, go check it out.
