Yeah its true. There attitudes are so dark at times. Everyone is intittled to their beliefs but why must they put Christians down in the process I guess they do it to bring some type of reasoning behind their decisions. Whatever

I know many atheists and they are not in misery. How did you come to this conclusion? And what does "find time" have to do with it? Are you implying that being in misery is a full-time occupation and that there's no time left in an atheists life for anything else? You see...when one is critical in one's thinking and takes the time to parse out what the questioner is really asking, it all falls apart. Try doing that more often, oh YA answerers!

Atheists/agnostics are not always in misery! Perhaps we 'mock' christians because we can see their hypocrisy while they cannot. I do not 'mock' christians, I don't have time to waste my time belittling others. I do think that christians spend too much time trying to look good in the eyes of others and too little time actually being good people.

Honey, i'm no longer in misery. i've got not been in misery for an extremely very long term. i'm somewhat pleased with my life and its shifting alongside somewhat properly. perhaps you are the only thats depressed considering which you are able to no longer seem to discover happiness without your god. What a tragic little life you are able to desire to lead.

"Atheist in misery" was a statement I assume. Your question was why they/we mock Christians...
Probably has a lot to do with the stupid statement you just made! Go to the library and find new books, leave that old one alone for a while, you might see the light !!

I'm an Atheist and I'm very happy with my life, but I also don't mock Christians or any other religion for that matter.
There are many miserable Christians who mock Atheist.
I think this is more of an insecurity issue than a religious one.

I've actually come across some Atheists who are polite and just post their own points of view. Them I really respect for that. With them, we can agree to disagree.
When some non-believers are just mocking and/or condensending, I just feel sorry for them. It seems like that's they only way they know how to respond. (I add them to a Y!A prayer list I created. I feel that's the best way I can help them.) Just remember...
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

I think that Jesus referred to some people who also didn't believe in him as being the "children of the devil".
I think that they are doing the same thing that the devil would have then do.
It takes no talent to be an Atheist, but a lot of dogmatic religiously applied dedication.

Hey check this out.
Ephesians 4:29
''Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helping others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen''
A good reminder for you so called Christian.
If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all.
Practise what you preach.
I don't have to worry about burning in hell cause i'm atheist.

its al psychological. They are trying to convince themselves they made the right choice by mocking us. When they see that thier mockings of us dont change the fact that we have joy, that is the only thing that may make someone rethink their choices.
the Bible says in Proverbs 25,
"If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee. "
You see there is no sense in arguing against anyone. But there is sense in letting what they say roll off your back, and reward their maltreatment with kindness. It's only when we are able to reward the mockings of an athiest with the love and kindness given to us by God, that they will realize there really is something different about us, and we know that what we have, the world didn't give to us....because it's a joy that can only be found in serving God!
