The clutch on my mustang seems to be working fine but it makes an annoying squeeking sound when its not being pushed in. Any advise as to why, and how to make it stop?

Sounds like the throw out bearing has dried up and is squealing. You replace this when your replace the clutch. No way to fix other than to replace

The throwout bearing is a good answer..but as I am not clear as to what you mean by "squeek", could you be talking about something as simple as a dry shaft inside the car on the clutch pedal? Just want to cover all the bases!

It sounds like you have a bad throw-out bearing, but you may be able to alleviate the squeal by a very slight clutch adjustment to place a very slight preload on the bearing, if it works, it will still only be temporary, you're gonna need to install a new throw-out bearing fairly soon anyway.

It is a bearing going bad, most likely on the main input shaft. good luck.
