However, it usually ranges between 35 to 40 hours.
Some jobs are advertised as 37.5hours per week and this usually means that probably the lunch hour is unpaid.
Most often when jobs are advertised as 40 hours per week, it is usually 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with a paid lunch hour.

Assuming you get to see the doctor for the first opinion before it's too late will probably dictate whether or not you get a second opinion. Maybe if you paid a premium for it as in 2nd opinions available to the highest bidder. Don't discount the idea. It could happen.

Depending who you work for somewhere between 37 and 44
but overtime can be demanded by the employer very often and then take your pick there is no maximum in spite of the clamour. your contract Will say they are exempt from the mandatory limit on hours
