All children grow at different rates. Try to keep her away from sweets and keep the snacking infrequent and healthy (carrots, wheat biscuits, apple, etc.)

my daughter is about to turn 6, she is 70 pounds. I usually have the exact same problem, Sometimes i can find pants that fit just right at the thrift store. Other than that i have her to roll her pants legs up simply because i cannot make a hem, I suggest taking her pants to an alterer or do it your self, because most likely it will take forever to find the perfect fit jeans all the time

Make sure you limit her sugar intake and try feeding her more veggies. Get her to the park as often as you can and get her to run and play - that kind of stuff is a lot more fun when other kids are around!
At her age, it would be bad for her to put her on a diet. She needs certain fats, so don't cut fat from her diet. Her metabolism will burn off the extra fat if she eats little or no sugar and if she stays active.

No. Actually she's tall for her age. And for her height, her weight is just about right. You doctor should keep track of her height and weight and if you are concerned, ask to take a look at her tracking.

If you are truely concerned try taking her to a new pediatrician for one visit for a checkup. Then ask the question about the pants ordeal they will come out and tell you. Good luck!!!

if her weight is good with her height and the doctor told you, then dont worry about it. if shes a little taller then normal, of course shell weigh more weight, but its just to even it out for the height. dont worry about the clothes. everything is fine.

Do what any good parent would do. Monitor sugers, limit portions, and hem the legs on a pair of pants ...

we have the same problem. my daughter is 8 yrs old and weighs 105 lbs. i have to buy her plus sized clothing which can be hard to find. JC Penney has a good line of girls plus sizes. they are wider and not as long. god luck to you both.
