Yeah, go to the doctor ASAP. You might have torn ligaments that you need inorder to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

If you do not have pinsmetal in your body, you should ask for an MRI.

I've dislocated my knee twice. You don't need to go to a doctor. It will be sore, but move it a little bit more each day. To help, you can get an Ace Knee Brace to wear and it supports the knee until the pain subsides. Take some Tylenol for it, and you will be fine. After it heals, you will not have any pain, only be more careful next time.

A dislocated knee needs immediate medical attention. It has to be put back into place and immobilized for it to heal successfully. if you do what the others who answered this question say, you will have muscle, tendon, and ligament Pain for the rest of your life.

Ice the knee to help decrease the pain. I would go with Ibuprofen or Aleve vs Tylenol, if you can handle taking it without GI problems, since they have anti-inflammatory properties that Tylenol does not. If you are able to get going without too many problems, then just gradually increase your activity. Take one step at a time when going up and down steps/curbs. Lead with the good foot on the way up and the bad foot on the way down. If it still hurts after a while, see a doctor or physical therapist to help get things back to normal. Good luck!
