This is exactly the reason (that Christians don't ever consider) that separation of church and state protects them, as well.

This will become plain to them if Islamic immigrants start to become more prevalent here. Britain is practically overrun with them, from what I hear. The same thing could happen here.

Well, the upside down cross would surely upset me. I won't get into that now. But the Wiccan faith does not. We only have Christmas at that time of the year because some one decide it would be a great way to break up the long cold months. ( Christ was actually born in July.)
Most Wiccans are all about the earth and harmony, being thankful for bounty's of the earth. So, what better way to celebrate that time of the year then with THEIR outward show of faith. Christmas is a Holiday for Christan's and other faiths have their days of celebration. So show your faith in the way you live your life and respect all others and agree to disagree.

Yes, actually I would support their rights. And I DO. In high school, I was Wiccan/pagan. However, some of my friends got in trouble for bringing satanic bibles to school, and paraphernilia that had to do with Wicca, as well as other religions. The kids with Bibles had no trouble at all...anyway, so I started a petition to allow that stuff at school, and I got over seven hundred signatures, from all different religions.

So I'm not the only one. I'm now a Christian, and I STILL feel that we should have freedom of religion...no matter WHAT religion we are.

i'm sorry, yet you probably did no longer help the case of Wiccans right here. Wicca did no longer exist till the 1950's. Regardless, Christians stole no longer something from me in my view, or you for that count number. actual, how do the Christian holiday trips harm you or quit you from celebrating your Sabbats? "Stole" ability that we would now no longer have our Sabbats - which isn't the case. the justifications for/meaning in the back of the Christian holiday trips are distinctive than the justifications/meanings of the seasonal pagan holiday trips. So what if we the two savor coloring eggs interior the Spring, or dressing up like our widespread fictional charater and eating apple cider interior the autumn? New cultures are born and evolve and that they adapt/undertake customs, traditions, or perhaps some ideals from pre-latest cultures. that's no longer unique to Christianity. In answer on your genuinely question, many Christians are taught that something outdoors of their faith is of the devil, and hence incorrect and earns one a cost ticket to hell. What we take as insults and placed-downs, they deliberate to be challenge for our souls. P.S. - it particularly is particularly helpful to to do a sprint learn on Halloween, that's a Christian invention, as is trick-or-treating.

In a country of freedom of religion, you would have that right. However, many people are disrespectful to the fact that the majority of this country appreciates seasonal decorations. And it is wrong for a small minority to try to take away the traditions of the majority. I don't complain about New Year's and all its drunken parties, because I know the majority enjoys it. I don't complain about Halloween and its gory often devilish displays at haunted houses because I know the majority enjoys it. All Christians want is the same. If other religions want to erect displays on their respective holidays, then they should. But don't do it out of spite just to attack practitioners of other faiths you don't agree with.

I wish I could find a pentacle of lights to hang in my window along with all my other decorations. It's just possible some people wouldn't know it was for Yule and not Christmas.

Oh well.

I would be ecstatic. Then when kids asked what they were, they could get some real information on the various religions instead of the bs that comes out of the fundamentalists' spin machines.

I would say, Merry Christmas, y'all, and Blessed Be too!

I'd much rather see yule tidings... satanism is just the flip side of the christian coin... and I've never met a mean or bigoted pagan...

How would you feel if some one did something to you to deliberately cause an offense. Every one has a choice to celebrate what they believe in, but Christmas is not a day of celebrating a day for Wicca or for Satanists. Christmas is a day for people who love Jesus, I am sure people who love Satan have there own days of celebration. why ask a question that is based in what if I offend you land....However it could also be a protest to the Love of God and I support the right to protest and free choice> because I serve a mighty God.

You think that's something, they're saying that atheists worship at the church of satan, and atheists don't believe theres a satan, God or anything that has to do with religion. I read the church of satan's web site and it's all about satanism, it doesn't mention atheists. So right now, anythings possible....!
