Christians are caught in the middle. "If the Islamists gain power, obviously that will mean an increase in persecution. But the secularists are also opposed to the church. They want basically no religion. They want the people to be secular. But to be Turkish-- in their culture--is to be Muslim.

Persecution has already hit the Christian community. Three Christians were killed by young radical Muslims in April. Nettleton just returned from meeting with the survivors. He says, "There was no sense that God had let them down or that somehow this event happened while God wasn't looking. There was a very clear sense that this was God's plan."
Jesus says that if they persecuted Him, they will persecute us as well.

Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also (John 15:20).

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "

Interesting idea, but those countries have largely Islamic governments. I'd say it's just a bad idea for Christians to stay there if they have a choice. It is sad that those nations cannot, as a whole, accept other faiths, but in that culture, what can you do about it? Tolerance would have to develop slowly, like it did with the US through the British.

If you want to see how that plays out, just brush up on Christianity through the ages.

I would not ask such question. It simply creates lots of mistrust among us...all mankind.
The second thing is how many Muslims have been killed in Gaza alone,
^ What are Christians doing in Iraq..capturing some ones oil fields or still searching for those WOMD?
^Who is selling arms and ammunition to the rebels around the Globe..are they atheists.
My sincere advice to you is forget all about who is doing what and why..Instead let us all think for and pray for a peace full world, where there is universal brotherhood. Let us be One.
