Judah did and there isn't a single reproof from God in the story (well, except for having to acknowledge Tamar's kid as his own of course)

No. You are to abide by the law of your day. The Law back then was if a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed (children) unto his brother.

See her in the lineage of Jesus Christ in Matthew 1:3.

It is amazing to me how God will fulfill His Word even by a story like this. Tamar was a link in the lineage of Christ and Christ from the lineage of Judah. Did you notice that Onan refused to impregnate Tamar for which God killed him? God also slew Er, Judah's first-born because he was wicked in the sight of the Lord. Er was Tamar's husband. God would have His Son Jesus' line uninterrupted and God let no man get in the way.

The Bible tells us that it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of Almighty God. I suggest we all obey God.

When man gets so fleshy that he thinks life is all about him, he can forget that. Life is all about God. To our Heavenly Father be the glory forever!!!

Let's ignore the religious issues for a moment. Modern civilization has given women absolute control over who they choose to have sex with. Unlike biblical times, it is now a serious crime for a man to force himself on a women. As long as this is so, there will be men who will be generally unacceptable to the women they desire. The sex life of such men consists largely of masturbation and the occasional visit with a professional prostitute. Isn't that better than allowing his frustration to escalate until he hates all women and eventually rapes someone, possibly even becoming a serial killer of women? Hookers provide a valuable service for men who are unattractive to women. By providing this service, hookers indirectly enable all other women to pick and choose from the more desirable men. Despite the bigoted opinions of pious believers, the world's oldest profession continues to provide a valuable service to human civilization. Furthermore, prostitution provides desperately needed income for women who have no other marketable skills, but who frequently have dependent children. Biblical injunctions against prostitution serve no purpose other than to perpetuate Christianity's long and hateful paternalistic campaign against all women.

Just because there wasn't a penalty at that time does not mean that it was "ok" in the eyes of God. Very few people get directly reproved by God for going to hookers today. That doesn't mean we think that prostitution isn't sinful.

The Bible doesn't condone Judah and what he did to Tamar. He was disgraced by the incident. However, God did choose to bless him by allowing his Redeemer to come through his line.

There are several stories of men (usually married) using the services of prostitutes. In not one of them are they rebuked in any way, or is there any hint that their actions are considered wrong.

Remember, that in the OT adultery is a woman having sex outside of the marriage. Who the husband sleeps with is immaterial.

No, the New Testament is what the believer of today should follow and besides that was a historical story and that is a sin that he did nowhere does it say we should follow this, there are many teachings in the bible that are against this, don't take it out of context friend.
