Is it really worth the time and effort to upgrade to CS3? Is there anything new that is better than CS2? To me, it just looks like it just has a new design and it takes more memory. I'm content with CS2 right now, so will I regret upgrading?

There is no point, really. The install for CS3 takes roughly 5 billion hours*

*Not really but it took a long time

exactly as above. But it really depends on what you are doing. I do a lot of file imports and shifting between software (eg. Illustrator to Flash, Photoshop to Illustrator, etc). This is where CS3 is great. Moving files from one software to another is easy as cake, and Bridge is actually a Bridge this time around, and not a few stepping stones in a river. If you are content with CS2 for what you need it for, keep it, there is nothing you need in CS3. If your production requires you using multiple software to accomplish your task, go with CS3. If money is not a concern :)
