The amp powers up, but no sound comes out of my subs! With 1800 watts I should definately be able to hear something!!!! HELP ME!!!!

The protection mode is activated probably due to:
1. The impedance load connected to the amp may be below the minimum allowable. This could be due to too many speakers connected in an inappropriate wiring configuration, such as two 4-ohm speakers wired in parallel connected to the bridged output of the amp.

2. A short on the speaker wires also creates a low impedance condition. There may be a defective speaker connected to the system, causing the amp to shut down to protect itself from damage. Try disconnecting all speakers, and test the system - one speaker at a time.

Short circuit protection kicking in try any old working speaker lying around and see if it sounds off. Short can be inside the voice coil of speaker you got a good deal on. Or cabnet might not be wired correctly look at the speaker terminals are they even plugged in?
