Yes, he nearly executed his favorite wife, but changed his mind only with divine correction.

Well he married a girl (Ayesha) when she was 6 and consumated the marriage when she was 9.
Do feel free to re-read that sentence again - and do a search with google (or the Quaran) if you would like further confirmation.
I would like to *think* that is regarded as a mistake - otherwise I am not sure what it suggests about the fitness of Islam to be a "guiding light".
I know in years gone by, age-of-consent was not around - but for goodness sake, she would not even have gone through puberty. Not just pre-teen, but pre-TEN.
I think this is one of the main reasons I feel such unease about people praying to Mohammed - If he existed today, he would be in a secure facility with all the other people that have sex with little kids.
Mark
Ok, GIVE me the thumbs down - but at least do some research for you own peace of mind. Unless the truth frightens you too much.

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim - In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hello. Allah protects His prophets from making mistakes in regard to the religion. In other words, Muhammad, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, would not accidentally make a mistake and teach us that we have to pray six times a day or anything like that.
In worldly things, Allah's Messenger was a man and might make a mistake as any other man. For instance, in the following hadith he said the following:
Mishkat 147 Muhammad told the people of Medina not to hand-pollinate their date palm trees. The yield of dates dropped and they muttered about it. Muhammad said: "If I command you about religion, accept it but if I command you about a secular thing bear in mind that I am a human being."
So, yes, in things that are not related to the religion it is possible for him to make a mistake. And Allah knows best.
Fi Aman Allah,
Nancy Umm Abdel Hamid

Muslim...
Yes he did make just one... and it is stated in the Quran..surah Abasa (He frowned)
1. (The Prophet) frowned and turned away,
2. Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs).
3. But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)?
4. Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him?
5. As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient,
6. To him you attend;
7. What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah).
8. But as to him who came to you running.
9. And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment),
10. Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another,
11. Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Qur'an) are an admonition,
12. So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it.
13. (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz).

Yes he did, and he was corrected. It's pointed in the Qur'an.
He was a PERFECT HUMAN/MANKIND!
He's a human being.
He had pains and sorrows.
He had difficulties, problems and troubles.
In Qur'an it's clearly mention "path" to take in life, as human.
In Qur'an we have to THINK! It's not a dogma.
He was a REMINDER.
Amazing when you read Qur'an, it reflects back to your own being.
I am a muslim by choice.

His biggest mistake was listening to "Gabriel" or whatever the real name of the "angel" he was talking to was. Jesus's disciple John clearly stated that any spirit who claimed Jesus wasn't God should not be listened to, and Mohammad made a huge mistake by listening to one that denied Christ's deity. This of course led to innumerable other mistakes.

Yes He forgot to tell his followers to stop killing and thieving after the Americans gave them some oil refineries. After that there wasn't any reason to hit the caravans.
