This kind of makes me wonder:

OK, it's really Jan Crouch, who runs Trinity Broadcasting Network with her husband, Paul Crouch. I almost feel guilty for joking about someone who has just died, but I really have a problem with televangelists who convince poor people to part with their last dollar just so they can buy mansions, lavish TV stations, and cosmetic surgery. In fact, my grandmother was one of the many people who funded their sumptuous lifestyle, and even as she was barely scraping by on Social Security, she still sent money to these people, because she thought it would make the Lord happy. Afterwards, my grandmother was sometimes short on money and would then have to ask my mom for assistance. People like Paul and Jan Crouch should be publicly flogged!

More hucksters.
Clearly, people that do these sorts of things cannot truly believe God is, and that He will judge. If they had truly believed, they would not be doing it!
All Christians should be made aware of who is who, and what is what. Unfortunately, people can get away with pulling this sort of thing off.
I knew a man victimized by both W.V. Grant AND Benny Hinn.
He died waiting for his "miracle cure."

You said it very nicely. Does this tell you anything about what God would want for His people? To me this kind of thing is false religion. The Bible says that the rich have a hard time getting into His Kingdom.
Instead of living the 'good life' that $ would help many people with food, medical bills and a home, not living in a car or box. The televangelists get greedy and that's not God's Way.

Yes, Ms. Messner (formerly Bakker) passed away on Friday.
I don't believe it was Tammy Faye who did the bilking. She actually believed in her ex just as much as people like your grandma did. I agree that these televangelists seem to use the money for less than useful and humanitarian purposes.

I had a few events to attend on the weekend, but apparently she's dead. I saw that last interview, the poor thing weighed only 65 pounds or so.

Paul and Jan Crouch are sociopaths and Tammy was mentally ill... now she's dead, and it's hard for me too feel sorry for her.
