Why make them burn in hell for eternity?
Couldn't God been a little kinder and just give all these people the capability to believe in him?
Does'nt God take any pride of ownership in what he created?

I believe God is love, it is the loving side of the being of the universe. God is "there", in front of you. You can choose to believe in it, or to ignore it.
I don't believe we will "burn" in hell after we die.
We burn in hell here. Hell is the vision of this world without love.
God didn't "create" anything. He is just the "being" of things. Things exist because they are inmerse in him, like fish lives around water.
Manipulation and distortion of these ideas drove people to use them to cause pain to other people, to talk about hell, and eternal pain.
Of course, many scriptures talk about fear, about hate, about hell...but scriptures are written at different ages, under different political historical conditions and for different purposes. Sometimes even war was involved in those purposes (and still nowadays is largely used)
However, you discover God when you do good to other people. And you know that is the true God because appears there, in your heart.

He took the pride. But too many of us don't care about Him. Are you more likely to obey God if you have the threat of hell in front of you or if God had said you'll all come to heaven even if you are bad?
If you worked very hard at obeying God and ended up in heaven with a lot on non believers too, would you be as happy there?
You must not be a parent even. Or you would understand that discipline is needed to train us all.

That's an interesting question.

Does God take pride of ownership in what he created? It looks like it. In Genesis, each day He created something, He called it good.

Couldn't God be a little kinder? Let's take a look.

2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some people understand slowness, but is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to perish, but wants everyone to come to repentance.

God told us what would happen if we disobeyed, and yet we are more than happy to do so! God sent his own Son to die in our place he loves us so much. He gave us a second chance!

He didn't have to do any of that. If I was God and I created people and they carved up some wood and worshiped it, I would mutter, "idiots" and squash them all like a bug. It would be my right. I created them. They are no longer pleasing to me. Aren't you glad I'm not God?

I've read the Bible from cover to cover several times and I realize it is a large love letter from God to us, He wants to show us love, but we are pretty much like an adulterous wife. We bow to other gods. We ignore Him. On and on.

Oh, these ideas are why I do not practice in the catholic faith anymore. Honey, god doesn't destroy anyone or condem them to hell. At least that is what I believe. Think about it, god is all loving and all forgiving, right? Why would we be punished? The idea of hell and the "right religion" is a way to control people. Maybe you should look at other beliefs or follow your heart and what you want to believe, you should not feel so much dispair. We are here to learn. No mater our belief or practice, no mater how good or bad, we all go to the same place and there is no hell.
Be in Peace and Love.

Well, think about it. If some are going to be punished for eternity, then are you still going to proclaim innocence? Or will you try to find out why you would deserve such a thing? If you don't care, then yours was not a serious question. If you do care, you will take the time to see just who you are before an almighty, righteous God, and that self-examination will result an Acts 2:37 realization.

everyone has the capability to believe in God. if you have a mind, you have that capability. that doesn't have to mean it's WRONG not to use it, but everyone has the choice. and fair enough, it's a harsh choice. but the whole free will thing is there....and hell doesn't have to be burning in a fiery furnace.
it could just be separation from God. so if you don't believe in God, is that that much of a punishment?

Actually, it's not 'God' who destroys them but other people: people who think they're God's instruments and have been 'chosen' to irradicate infidels- this includes all religions, not just Christianity. Whenever people believe themselves to be chosen by God, all humanity goes out the proverbial window and they become obsessed with serving God by enforcing what they're taught is God's will, upon others. This attitude doesn't always lead to killing in God's name. It happens on a smaller scale every day.

God is so loving. Your view isn't accurate of Him. He created man to sin so that He could show love to us and forgive us. He gave us the law (which is summed up by love) but no one could obey it. He put up with us for thousands of years tolerating us with much patience and long suffering while we turned our backs on Him and disobeyed Him then cried to Him for help when He turned away from us because of our sin. Finally He came and died for us to put us right with Him through a new covenant, not of works of the law but more simple, by faith in Christ, He saved us Himself because we couldn't be good people and you say why does He want to destroy us? All you have to do is accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord. If you don't then you are choosing not to be put right with Him.

He is an incredibly ignorant and sadistic tyrant as he was invented by Moses. If he wanted us to believe in him, he should not allow so many contradictions and scientific errors in his holy book. The whole system is so pathetically dumb that it amazes me that so many people believe in it and pay much money to buy tickets to a depressing and boring Heaven.
