I enjoyed it very much. I purchased a copy of the DVD for showing to my Bible students who have not seen it. I did not really learn anything new but there was something I had not really thought too much about before. It had to do with the brother who had been in the German concentration camp during WWII and the sister who was also there whom he visited in Germany. Although these people survived and, in the case of the sister, continued her faithful service to Jehovah, and the brother then began his faithful service, they are emotionally battered in a way that no one who did not experience those things can ever really comprehend.

I did watch it! I love Independent Lens! I learned a lot about the Jehovah's. I have had few dealings with them, but have found them to be much nicer than the Mormon missionaries. I am very familiar with the Mormons..... I am one of them (recovering though). Anyway, the documentary, I thought, was very good and provided many facts that I was unaware of, especially in the areas of medical/surgical practices and research, and their history in Nazi Era Germany. I would watch it again and I would encourage others to do the same.

Regarding the documentary "Knocking", it was particularly interesting to note that dozens of Jehovah's Witnesses (including volunteers at the branch office) cooperated with the production of the film, despite the fact that the two producers are openly homosexual and one is (by some definition) a "former Witness".
Such polite cooperation helps expose the lie of those anti-Witnesses who pretend that Jehovah's Witnesses are "gay-bashers" or who grossly exaggerate the nature of Christian disfellowshipping.

I think it's sad that JWs refuse certain modern, life saving medical treatements. I was worried that that poor kid was going to die for no good reason. I'm glad he made it, though.
