Some Jacka** decided to break into my wifes truck and take her radio face. It was a pioneer...not sure of the serial number yet.

Yes, it is possible to replace it. Just need to take out the whole radio to find the Brand and its model number, then go to manufacturer's site and find it. The exact same thing happened to me a long time ago. The face will cost about the same as a new radio. So it is up to you. =)

You can replace just the faceplate, but you'll probably find it costs close to $100 to get a new faceplate from the manufacturer. Often used faceplates are sold on e-Bay for quite a bit less, but even then you should expect to pay around $50 if your model is available.
