Bah, I'll leave the repopulating up to everyone else. Not that I don't mind being unequally yoked every now and then, but I am an incredible wimp and don't even want to think about childbirth, especially in a post-apocalyptic world without doctors and epidurals.

The world will not end in 2012, it's not possible. There are still several steps until then, it's just that since the 2012 film came out everyone is strating to think about the world ending. And anyway, the world can't end in 2012, I have a yoghurt which expires at 2013.

Hell if all humans died it wouldn't matter because according to some we evolved from apes so we'd just have to wait for monkey love to bring humans back again!
Instead of beliefs you should ask if there were only two survivors and one was gay and the other was a lesbian would they reproduce and who would be on top?

If there were few survivors, I'd let my genes die out with me. No need to propagate these suckers. Not to mention, I wouldn't want to spend my post-apocalypse days rearing children with no doctors, no super markets, no TV, no amusement parks, etc.
I sure hope they have birth control after the end of the world.

I love these kind of hypothetical question... since the premise in unlikely. As a Christian, we believe God is in control and probably wouldn't allow for the premise you mentioned. But, I'll play along... as a Christian I seek the guidance of God in all situations where big important decisions are needed to be made. It may sound like a cop out, but when a premise like that arises, I'm sure God's will is what will win out.

The way you mentioned that Atheists "have sex outside of marriage" shows that you automatically think that Atheists are amoral. Get this straight, religion is in no way a prerequisite for good morals!

Call me crazy but if I was one of the last people on earth - the LAST thing on my mind would be having babies! No anesthesia... no obstetric specialists? No way!
I'm not really worried about the human species dying out - doesn't every other species eventually go extinct? Why are we so different - we will eventually be wiped out, right?
Super atheist... that was hilarious!

If atheists AND Christians survived, it would not be essentially necessary for atheists to procreate with Christians although we probably would since we do anyway.
But I assume that you are referring to if there were ONE atheist and ONE Christian (male and female). I think those 2 people could put their petty differences aside to save the human race.

"B.K.R.A.K. v. 2.1.3" has the right idea! Given an opportunity like that, why make the mistake of perpetuating the population and re-infesting the earth? Just let humanity die out and be done with it. In two hundred years, who of any of us will be around to give a rat's patoot about anything, anyway? (And THAT is true in our *current* situation.)

Humanity is out of luck if they're expecting me to help rebuild it, unless one of the other survivors happens to be a competent urologist -- I had a vasectomy almost five years ago....
