Crunches will firm the muscles under your tummy, but won't melt away the flab over top of it. Cardio is good for that, but only if you can fit in at least 30 minutes a day (it doesn't all have to be at once, you can split it up). Do whatever cardio is most enjoyable for you...if you like to run, run, if you like to dance, dance...whatever you like.
Crunches, cardio, and sensible eating...that's the ticket.

i'm trying REALLY hard to tone down my tummy, and so far a low-calorie diet and doing general aerobic/dance cardio exercise is really helping. running on the treadmill will also help, but i've found that cardio exercises that are directed towards the tummy area are much more helpful (and more interesting). i'm currently using "dance off the inches - tummy tone party zone" and it's really working for me so far.

Hi I have the same dilema! I appear to have developed a gut in the last year from nowhere. Must be my metobolism as getting older! I was told a lot of situps, rowing and running is good any pulling motion. I have just started to do this so we shall see if its right. :0 Good luck!

Cut down carbs and simple sugars from your diet. Don't eat hydrogenated fats or oils or shortening. No sodas which contain sugar. Do resistance training, which will build more stabilizer muscles in your core and elevate your metabolism.

If his tummy is dissatisfied do not fear to so much if he isn't consuming, simply ensure that he's having plenty of fluids. Because if he's getting in poor health he'll be wasting plenty of fluids and might end up dehydrated..
