What?? Your aunt is a nut. Ice = frozen water. Water has no fat contents. Unless, you are eating frozen lard.

Well, yes and no. The ice itself doesn't make you fat. It just lowers your iron level. What it does do, is keeps you from eating food. By doing this you are starving yourself, then the next time you eat, your body goes into defense mode and stores every little calorie you eat as fat. The best thing to do is keep your metabolism up and running. Eat a small meal every 2-4 hours. When I say a small meal, I mean an egg, some toast and a yogurt for breakfast, an apple and some almonds as a snack, a small salad and some fish for lunch, another small fruit snack, a dinner with a protein, some veggies, a bit of brown rice, and later a few grapes as a snack. This keeps your body from ever running out of fuel, but doesn't top the tank either.

Ice is only water, and water only goes through you and has zero fat involved. If you were to eat a lot of ice at once however, or drink a large amount of water you may become temporarily bloated ( water weight) but this will go away by the end of the day when you've had a nice big pee.

Wendy got it right. If anything it will help with weight loss. Ice and extremely cold drinks do cause the body temp to get lowered a bit, so the energy the body spends to "reheat" itself does burn a few extra calories. You aren't going to lose hundreds of pounds because of this, but hey, every little bit helps.

You have nothing to worry about as far as getting "fat" from eating ice.

Eating ice does not cause you to get fat. Ice is nothing but frozen water and we are now highly encouraged to drink as much water as possible for good health.

Its water. No you will not get fat from eating ice.
Why your aunt would tell you this...I have NO idea. Maybe shes old fashioned, and thinks you will break your teeth as you munch on the frozen water, and the "youll get fat" theory is just to discourage this.

I don't know why your aunt would tell you that ice makes you fat but your own common sense should have told you what the truth is. What is ice made of? Now you have your answer.

No, it does not. Your aunt was probably just annoyed by that habit and wanted you to stop so she told you that. Ice is just frozen water, no calories, no carbs, no fats, nothing of nutritional value. Its like drinking water, you wont gain any weight or anything like that. I thought that was kind of obvious already though >_>

Eating ice does not make you fat. It's just frozen water, and water is good for weight loss.
