I am assuming that it is a "surprise" pregnancy?
My wife didn't bother to tell her father, as he was a jerk

Your father would be upset at first but would appetite it more if you tell him sooner rather then later. Let him know how you feel about this tell him if you are scared just be open to him. He will see that you are a woman and not a child for the way you opened up to him about this and don't be surprised if he offers to help you through it. it is a real adventure a lot of ups and downs you need some one to fall on let it be your father rather then a guy who is not to sure what he wants in life.

How old are you? If you are an adult, than don't stress out so much... if you are a child/teenager... I don't know what to say. I told my Mom (I was 20) and she was excited. She was on the phone talking to one of her friends about their new Grandchild, and I told her she was going to be a Grandma too. My Dad who is usually really sweet and laid back, well he reacted opposite. I didn't tell him (my Mom told everyone). My Dad was angry with me. But, my daughter is here (almost 10) and the love of everyone's life! However, they react they will be so okay, when the baby gets here! Congratulations!

Expect the worst and deal with it maturely. I had to tell my mum that i was pregnant at the age of 15. It sucks. But it blew over and then it was great, my mum got very excited about becoming a granny - even though she was only 36!

I am assuming you are still living at home and in highschool? The only way to do it is to just sit down with the one that you are closest to, Mom or Dad and tell them. If it's both you are close to then sit them both down together and do it. You need to tell them. I was 19 when i had to tell my parents. I had moved away with my fiance to NY from NH and oops! Had to move the date up a few months. Of course that marriage ended by the time i was 26.
Anyway, just tell them, the longer you wait the harder it gets.

it really depends on how old you are and what your lifestyle situation is ... if you are 18,19, then you're basically an adult and the choice is your's ... if you're 15, 16 still in high school, then that's a different matter ...
hopefully you have a good and open relationship with you and you can discuss it rationally ... but sitting them down in a public place (like a restaraunt) may keep the temptation to yell and scream down ...

Hon, the way to do it is to be perfectly frank and honest, say you made a mistake and need their help, then take whatever help they offer you. The simpler, the better, no anger just ask forgiveness. I am sure they will give it to you and help you out with your problem. Who knows, they just might be thrilled to have a grand baby on the way. ;>)

i did.... over the phone well you can expect them to be upset and they probably will be for a while but the thing is once that baby gets here all of those feelings that they had will disapear. just brace yourself and take it. thats pretty much all you can do.
