To get the song names from the radio station, first the station would have to send the info in the signal, and the receiver would have to include that feature.

The name of the feature that displays the radio station name, song information, and artist information is known as RDS. It stands for Radio Data System. It isn't as popular in the States as in Europe, but many factory car radios do have it. Not all radio stations send out the signal of information, but when they do, and RDS enhanced radio will display the information.

What you're looking for is a radio equipped with RDS (Radio Data System). This is a much more common feature in factory radios than after-market. However, even with RDS you'll only get song titles if the radio station chooses to send that information on their RDS feed; not all radio stations use the RDS signal for that purpose.
