Wouldn't think twice mate, just take a look around, the law no longer works.

Honestly, it would be extremely hard for me NOT to want to kill someone who killed a family member. I think as humans, our first reaction is to find a solution to the pain but if you think about it-killing the person responsible isn't really a solution.

Both my husband and brother say that if anyone EVER did anything to harm me (rape, torture, murder) they would go after the person with vengeance. While it's comforting to know that they would seek vengeance on my behalf, it's disturbing to think of them having to live with the guilt, grief, and hatred.

Different circumstances would call for different reactions IMO. For instance, if one of my relatives was murdered and for whatever reason the officials were unable to prove that the person did it (think O.J. Simpson) then yes, I'd probably wind up taking the law into my own hands.

First I will say that you never know what you will do until it actually happens to you. I know this first hand, my family experience a horrible home invasion where one of my family members was killed and three brutal hurt and not a hair on my head was touched, but I saw it all. I would not hurt them like they hurt us. Everyone will get their judgment whether it be through the system or/and by God. For me to kill them is not bringing any pain on them but their family. And I don't want to spend my life in prison for taking the law into my own hands. Forgive just don't forget.

You may all think you know what you'd do but until you get that knock on your door at one o'clock in the morning - take it from me you don't!

My husband was murdered - I didn't know who did it, the police did a sterling job for which I will always be grateful. The two individuals got life, one of them recieved a minimum tariff of 20 years.

It is honestly the very last thing you'll be thinking of doing. What if you killed the WRONG person?

Funny could philosophise all day about forgiveness, yet if anybody hurt a hair on my child's head.....I could not help but act in a vengeful way, would not settle till i had...For whats its worth if your a Christa in "eye for eye ",is old testament..Christ said forget the Old testament..Not full blown Christan here...I also think Death would be to easier way out for some of these child killers and abusers, life in Jail with all the respectable criminals would be much worse..

No, I certainly would not. For a start, taking the law into your own hands would only get you a prison sentence and it wouldn't bring your family member back. Its also highly likely that it would make you feel a lot worse about yourself rather than better.

Revenge solves nothing. In the words of Ghandi "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".

To be honest then i would want to see justice done one way or another. If someone murdered my children then i would personally forget the law and bring down my own justice. Morally i know this is wrong but i am only human and i know i would do everything in my power to make that person pay with their life.

i would take the law in my own hands! i do know people who can help and do all the dirty work but i pray that i never have to.

i know a lot of people who are out for revenge because of a death of a member.

Someone would have to hold me back if I was ever in the same room with the rat b***ard, but I wouldn't attack or kill them myself. Then, I'd be the one in jail and I know any one of my family members wouldn't want that. I wouldn't stoop to the killer's level.

I DEFINITELY AGREE WITH YOU, I WAS IN AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH A ROLE MODEL IN THE COMMUNITY ,HE WAS A HORRIBLE INDIVIUAL,BUT THE COURT OR LAW ENFORCEMENT DID NOTHING,BUT I HAD CHILDREN AND DIDN'T WANT THIS MONSTER TO GET THEM. HE ALSO LEFT ME PENNILESS AND WITH A DISORDER KNOWN AS POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER. HE WON HANDS DOWN IN COURT BECAUSE OF STATUS AND MONEY AND HE WAS REALLY A CRIMINAL,I HATE AND HAVE NO FAITH IN THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM ESPECIALLY WHEN I SEE SO CALLED MOTHERS KILLING THEIR CHILDREN AND GETTING OFF ON A MENTAL CONDITION,WHEN THEY WERS SANE ENOUGH TO CALL THE POLICE AND SAY I JUST KILLED MY KIDS! SORRY FOR THE LONG ANWSER THIS IS A SUBJECT I CAN GO ON FOEVER ABOUT I'M VERY BITTER.
