Don't get me wrong here, I think terrorism is a scourge on the earth, and should be eradicated. However, the Americans are fighting an unseen enemy, stealthy, and difficult to find. Ahouldn't the americans adapt a similar strategy, like the australians? instead of going in gung-ho, and blowing everything up.

if you are talking SAS about australians defences --- we would have cleaned up iraq to the point of looking after itself then moved back to afghanistan .
the australian SAS are the most underated ( and yet most effective ) combat force in the world --- i challenge any one to differ ! small !!!but efficient , very , very efficient .

We should have gone house to house and collected all weapons and suspicions individuals. Also, setup a curfew so each family gets 2 hours to move about each day at different times. Use color code arm bands and chip each person to enforce the curfew. For the repeat offenders, they get a GPS tracker around their ankle. Let's get it done, right now.

Most certainly ! Wars should have one objective, unconditional surrender ! Politicians don't understand this concept and for this reason alone should butt out of making military decisions !

If you are so knowledgeable, why not write out a winning strategy and email it to President Bush. Criticism is cheap.
