My dad just took our whole family to Australia for 3 weeks. He worked soooo hard to make it perfect, such as taking us on tours, scuba diving at the great barrier reef, going to th opera house, going out to dinner every night, and so so soo much more. I want to get him a present to show him how thankful I am for him doing this for us. Any ideas?

Write him a letter - by hand - telling him how much you appreciate not just the Australia trip but everything he does for you. Speak with your heart, and write it by hand. It will better than any present.

But - did your family take pictures? Write the story of the trip and make a "book" complete with lots of pictures, as a memento to be kept and taken out and remembered. If you took a lot of digital, you'll have to get them printed. A personal keepsake.

Get together with the rest of the family and take him out to something very special that he really would love now that you're back home. No reason but to say thank you.

Sounds like you had an awesome holiday, I would sugest something hand made, such as a card, letter, or as suggested, photo album. however if you really want to buy him something, If you are still in Aus, something nice and traditional, Aboriginal art is a popular and beautiful way to represent Australia. however if you have already left, you might be able to get one of your favourite photos blown up and framed nicely to hang on the wall. even look around for a nice painting from Aus, otherwise, you could purchase Aboriginal art of the internet.

Not sure how old you are, or how good you are on the old computer, but I suggest putting all your photos in a slide show with music in the background. (if you have the software to do that) and put it on a CD or DVD for keepsake.
Otherwise a scrapbook of your Aussie Trip would be awesome with your personal touch.

Lots of hugs, wash the car every weekend, bring him his slippers when he's watching TV, be friendly and happy around him and let him know he's appreciated. Sometimes you don't need to buy presents, you just need to show your love in other ways.

If you really want to buy him something, then take him to the movies and give him a handmade card telling him how much you loved the holiday.

I don't know your father but what if for like the weekend you (if he has it off) you do everything for him like household chores made him meals and got him anything he wanted (kinda like a slave LOL). Maybe if there is something that he collects if you have enough money get him something of that.

You could get him a really nice photo frame or photo album as he must have plenty of photo's from your trip to Australia.
