From what I see on the news....I think we still are cave men.

What? Are you indicating you think there would be a big cave men breeding pit some where? This question makes no sense. We did come from "cave men". What do you think cave men are?

You,I assume,didn't come from a caveman.Many groups of people worldwide DO dwell in caves to this day.Thus,thier children are born from "cavemen"Modern society has found more comfortable housing arrangements though.It is hard for you to come from a caveman if your parents lived in a house.I know what you are really asking though.A question asked a gazillion times,and if we simply reword it to the basic question"IF EVOLUTION IS TRUE,WHY DID WE EVOLVE?"you will see the question is,well,completely stupid and contradictory.

Did you mean monkeys?
Anyway humans and apes share a common ancestor. You don't need science books to know this, just look at people carefully and you can make the connection. Either that or your god has a strange sense of humour.

Because once you came from something or someplace you are not there any more, you are someplace else. For example, if you say "I came from Maine" and you are in California, you are not in Maine any more.
A better question would be, if man came from apes and monkeys, how come there are still apes and monkeys and they did not turn into people too?
