Jehovah's Witnesses believe the bible to teach that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son; neither is part of some mysterious triad personage.

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

Jehovah's Witnesses recognize that so-called holidays such as Easter and Christmas derive from false religion, and so are incompatible with pure worship. For example, Easter derives from the pagan god Oestre and celebrates "rebirth" and "fertility" instead of commemorating Christ's Last Supper and death as Jesus commanded:
(Luke 22:1-22) [Jesus] dispatched Peter and John, saying: “Go and get the passover ready for us to eat.” ...14 At length when the hour came, he reclined at the table, and the apostles with him. 15 And he said to them: “I have greatly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer; 16 for I tell you, I will not eat it again until it becomes fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” ... Keep doing this in remembrance of me.”

Seemingly innocuous holidays may have only a tangential connection with false worship, such as Mother's Day and Father's Day (although arguably derived from ancestor worship). Understated observance of these is not generally considered interfaith by Jehovah's Witnesses, but it is too easily misunderstood in some cultures.

Since such celebrations are not required in true worship, and can easily become a distraction, so Jehovah's Witnesses focus their attention elsewhere. In particular, they are focussed on the preaching work which *IS* a requirement for Christians:

(Luke 10:1-17) [Jesus] the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.

1. The trinity is not taught in the bible, It is a false teaching that comes from Satan.

2 Cor 4:4 states that to believe Jesus is more than an image of God, then you have been blinded by Satan, and you are an unbeliever.

2. These holidays are pagan, with the names somewhat changed to be acceptable to 'Christians's.

This is the same as taking poison and placing it in a soda bottle and saying it is now safe to drink.

3. If you love Jehovah and his Son Jesus, then you won't want to do anything that they disapprove of.

4. It is wonderful serving Jehovah the only true God.
He is a happy God and wants his people to be happy.

1. The trinity is no where in the bible. People read a few verses and assume and state for a fact that there is one.
2. Most of these holidays including Christmas were celebrated prior to Jesus' time. They are man made.
3. No.
It is a love you have in return for God's love. You try to put all things below God. It is very beautiful. Especially when you consider, these people do not believe that if they don't do God's will they will be tormented. It is simply a return of love and devotion. Every one I know who is Jehovah's witness. They are all happy people overall. They look to Jehovah for guidance. You should talk with them. Despite what people say. If you don't want to talk about it, they will leave.

I think it's because they believe that the Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit are three separate beings..2) They don't celebrate it because they believe it's Paganism ( I think) 3) And no, if you're a JW, you can't celebrate easter, birthdays, good friday etc etc...

I don't know if it's nice to be one because I'm not one..you're better off asking another JW ...

i'm so delighted you asked former Jehovah's Witnesses to respond to this question. in any different case, how could desire to you ever discover out why they left? There are some interesting solutions out of your non secular brothers and sisters - yet no longer one in all them has arise with the evident. together as i became a Jehovah's Witness, I additionally theory I had the genuine faith and there became no way i became ever going to leave it. which may be extremely stupid, would not it, to leave what you believed to be genuine that gave you peace of ideas. Neither did I leave because of fact i became immoral or somebody stumbled me or I purely did no longer choose to stay as much as the Bible's severe standards. I wasn't mixing with worldly human beings, i did no longer take in smoking or ingesting. in fact, i became pioneering and that i became married to a pioneer. So why did I leave? you may understand that my dad and mom grew to become Witnesses interior the 1930's, and that i knew no longer something different than what Jehovah's Witnesses believed. We have been all anticipating the top of 6,000 years of guy's existence to end interior the autumn of 1975 (i'm able to grant the Watchtower quotations in case you doubt me) and that meant Armageddon could come quickly after. My dad and mom believed they have been the technology that could see the fulfilment of the top-time prophecies in Matthew 24 and that they could be alive whilst the Millennial reign of Christ began. None individuals made any of this up. all of us believed what the Society advised us. guess what? This prophecy became fake - we are nonetheless waiting, 33 years later. because of fact of this I left - fake prophecies approximately dates and predictions whilst 6,000 years of human existence will end. Any peace of ideas I had became shattered as quickly as I realised the quantity to which I were deceive. i'm now a born-lower back Christian with a heavenly wish and that i compliment God that, in the process the Holy Spirit, he introduced me to a place of repentance and forgiveness. faith would not shop. purely Jesus Christ can do this.
