Acute bronchitis heralding the onset of some other illness, may cause it. You need blood tests and chest xray. You are not a smoker I take it.
All the best!

You don't mention how long this has been occuring or whether your lower, middle, or upper back hurts. You also don't mention your age, health problems, and medications, which may also give some clues.

Hemoptysis is the medical term for coughing up blood. Blood in sputum can have many, many sources, from a simple broken vessel in your throat to lung cancer. Read about hemoptysis at

The fact that your back aches may mean you have some type of respiratory infection. You mentioned you are concerned about tuberculosis; read about this condition at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/tuberculosis/DS00372.

Whatever the cause, if this has been occuring for more than one week, you may need to be evaluated by a physician. There are too many causes of these two symptoms to be explored here.

Tuberculosis is still a possibility. Bacterial infection, fungal infection both come to mind. Get checked of course. Any chemical exposure? I had the same thing but only for two days after doing acic etch of concrete with hydrochloric acid.
