I think so. Before this war mess started there were quite a few Christians living rather peacefully in Muslim countries.
Now of course there is a lot of anger because of the wars and oppression.

This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them.
Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them.
No compulsion is to be on them.
Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries.
No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims' houses.
Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate.
No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight.
The Muslims are to fight for them.
If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray.
Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants.
No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world).

Well, there are still a lot of Christians living in some Muslim countries. Probably always will be.
But the war in Iraq has little to do with this subject. After all it is mostly Muslims killing Muslims, isn't it? And it is not about religion, it is about power and control, like all other wars.
Christians and Muslims have lived together for centuries, but there have been conflicts, but again this was about power and control, not religion so much.

Muslims ruled Jerusalem for 1,000 years and all three faiths coexisted in peace.
Muslims ruled Spain for 700 years and created a jewel in Europe where all three faiths coexisted and scientific thought sparked the Renaissance.
Islamic thought coupled with Islamic Law pulled Europe out of the Dark Ages of Church rule. This loss of power by the Church spurred the Christians to eventually hunt every Muslim and Jew down and either convert or kill them .
Christians have been living in Muslim countries for centuries.......... how long have Muslims been allowed to live in Christian countries ?

and they do
we only hear about atrocities in the media but the media doesn't show all the nice things that are happening around the world
it doesn't show the little people ... the ones who quietly go about their business
those are the ones who may have a best friend who is Muslim .. Christian .. Pagan or whatever it is at the other end of their belief system
two of my good friends on here have became very close in chatting with each other
one is Muslim the other is Catholic.... hey if they can , anyone can xxx

Peace comes when 'religion' is thrown out, and everyone learns the nature of God, that is, given through the words of Moses and Yahshua. Not xianity, not Islam, not Judaism, just the Old testament and New testament, together as ONE. Muslims will worship on the 7th day, not the sixth, xians will realize their is one TRUE GOD, and Yahshua is the SON, to which we are SONS, and Judaism will realize the role Yahshua came to fulfill in the life of SOLOMON.

There was a long period of time where Muslims lived side by side with non-Muslims in peace. I have heard first hand accounts of how well the Muslims got along with Christians in Romania while it was under Islamic rule. And it turns out that there was no forced conversions or fighting at all :-) There is no compulsion in religion! Allah (God) knows best!

Yep, it is possible.
I had a hardcore Christian , Jewish, and atheist roommates in the same apartment living peacefully.
It is when people start disrespecting others the peace goes away.
I forgot to tell you that prophet Mohammed had a Jewish neighbor who threw trash on his door steps all the time. When prophet Mohammed woke up and saw no trash on his doorstep, he knew something was wrong. So, he went to visit his neighbor who was sick.
