try to fill this gap. between Muslims and you and the Christians and the nose people you who I am pointing to when I say nose. and tiny hat
Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then We clove them asunder, and made from water every living thing? Will they not then believe?"
Ironically, this very information is exactly what they awarded the 1973 Noble Prize for - to a couple of unbelievers. The Qur'an reveals the origin of the universe - how it began from one piece - and mankind continues to verify this revelation, even up to now. Additionally, the fact that all life originated from water would not have been an easy thing to convince people of fourteen centuries ago. Indeed, if 1400 years ago you had stood in the desert and told someone, "All of this, you see (pointing to yourself), is made up of mostly water," no one would have believed you. Proof of that was not available until the invention of the microscope. They had to wait to find out that cytoplasm, the basic substance of the cell, is made-up of 80% water. Nonetheless, the evidence did come, and once again the Qur'an stood the test of time.

good question indeed . maybe we need to look at ourselves .
as god isnt the answer .
however if you delve further into the questions the answers are there . although not all of them or what would be the point
if you knew everything you would no longer need to live
you would not have anything to strive for so to speak.
its a lot more complicated than all the different religions may suggest but in understanding its simple and wonderful and true .
to the member suggesting that god is only 2000 years old
may be surprised to learn it goes back rather further than that tiny blip in time :)

I don't have all the answers, and I don't just fill the gap with God. But, since I don't have all the answers, there must be someone who does, or we wouldn't have questions to ask, would we?

Maybe I did not see the questions. I think you are right there are a lot of questions that we just don't know.. I also know for sure there is a God and he's great to know. You're loved. Know that he would be seeking out longing for a relationship with YOU. I think that is pretty amazing. A king of kings, higher than all moral monarchs, heads of states, etc. would like to be freinds with you ? How can anyone snub that opportunity ?

The same reason that people who DON'T believe in God say things like, "Well, we can't explain that, but someday we will." Or, "No, we can't prove that theory right now, but someday we will!"
It's true that religious people seem to use "God of the gaps" a lot. However, nonreligious people seem to use "science of the gaps."
If it works, who cares?

Native Americans referred to the Creator as the "Great Mystery". This to me seems to show a greater understating of our existence here on earth.
I also like the quote. "Seek those who seek the truth, and run from those who claim to have found it."
