I want to buy a ticket from Emirates but they don't fly all the way to my final destination (buffalo). If I buy a ticket all the way to JFK and then buy another ticket from Delta (JFK to BUF) then will I be able to get my baggage checked all the way to BUF?

Sorry, without a ticket all the way through to buffalo you can't check it through. You will have to pull it in JFK and recheck it with your Buffalo ticket. If you had the tickets in hand they would check it through for you. Just one of those things. Make sure that your have time between flights. Good luck. If you do have your connecting flight ticket when you check into Emirates they will check your baggage throught to Buffalo. No problem.

be carefull with emirates,they have just lost yesterday my suitcase from manila to paris
