It is a buzz word set up by the liberals of this country to scare you into thinking your excessive lifestyle could one day kill us. The thing they don't tell you is that over the same time period, other planets are going through the same exact change. Mars' temperature, for example, has risen at the same levels as Earth. It is a normal cycle of nature, and while we can do some things to help conserve our resources, this planet is not as fragile as you are led to believe.

Global Warming is going on right now because the Earth is slowing heating due to what many believe to be CO2 levels going up: the reason behind it is very skeptical: there are two sides 1) the side that blame humans for earth heating up with cars and what not 2) the idea that the Earth goes through natural cycles of highs and lows. Personally I believe the second but in the end you should make your own decision not have other people tell you what is the cause

It's a scientifically proven fact that our excessive lifestyles have contributed to what will be the planet's worst natural disaster ever. This is all caused by greedy, lazy, uncaring, mean-spirited, self-absorbed people (mostly Americans) who see no need to reduce their vehicle emissions; drive more fuel-efficient cars; stop building smoke-belching factories that pollute the air; overfish our oceans; refuse to REuse, REduce or REcycle; strip away precious land in order to dig out all of Earth's natural resources such as oil, coal, natural gas and minerals; don't understand the delicate ecological balance between all men, plants and animals so necessary to our basic survival; ignore the depletion of our rain forests and mangrove forests; and bury their heads in the sand so that they can go on wasting all of Earth's precious resources for their own greed, amusement and convenience.
Global warming is a cyclical event that continually affects Earth and all other planets. Man's industrial revolution of the past 150 years has contributed to the escalation of the natural process, which doesn't allow man, plants or animals to adapt to the normal cyclical changes. global warming is basically the warming of the earth due to gass emmisions not being released into the atmosphere because of the ozone layer which is a layer of thin gasses..that surrounds the earth..

(i need to know all this for my science test =P )
and this ozone layer isnt releasing all th4e gasses that we are producing like car fumes and burning of treees/fossil fuels and stuff like that

NOW !! with that in mind it is heating up the earth therefore thats where global warming comes into mind..
we neeed to stop this because
basically in another 30 -40 or so years we are all going to be underwater =],(hot water expands so rising temperature the water expands ALSO its melting the ice caps so then the water is going to rise either way.)

umm..
there are also many many more effects of global warming too.
the winters are getting colder and the summers even hotter.

Some gases ("greenhouse gases") let sunlight in, which warms the Earth, and then block that heat from leaving. That's the "greenhouse effect", and it's a natural thing, mostly caused by water vapor.

Man is making excessive amounts of greenhouse gases, mostly by burning fossil fuels. That causes the delicate natural balance to go out of whack and the Earth warms. That's global warming.

It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.

Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.

it means that the average temp has gone up all over the world. they have taken temps at different places at different times and the average of those numbers say the temp is up. like the planet has a fever. depending on how fast or slow the temp rises we will enter a new ice age(fast) or a runaway warming(slow). if ice and fresh water continue to enter ocean salt water the ocean will stop circulating and it will cause flooding and get really cold.
