Who else thinks people are tainted by money? Im thinking specificly of J.K. Rowling, Christina Agulara, Fred Durst,
I met J.K. Rowling once and frankly I was furious that i extended my hand for her to shake it in a room of only 30 people and she wouldnt take it and gave me the "im better then you" look. A year or so ago on MTV I saw Christina Agulara blow off 2 fans who met her in an alley...Christina, her body guard and the two guys were the only ones there and she "sicked" her body gurad on them.
Why does society promote such behavior and why do we allow this? If I work at a restaurant and a customer is rude to me for no reason why should I have to take it? If I saw them in the street I wouldnt dare allow them to talk or act like that to me. What are your opinions?

I agree that people are tainted by money. I saw Florida's most famous football player, Dan Marino, reject a little boy's request for an autograph & made the kid cry! It's not only celebrities. My sister-in-law makes more money than anyone else in the family & acts like her doody doesn't stink. She'll be quick to point out what everyone else is doing wrong & thinks she knows more about everything than anyone else. Also, one of his friends is like that. I've been insulted numerous times by both of them & refuse to see them again. Both of these people made their money in their lifetime. In my personal experience, If they grew up with money, they are more likely to treat less fortunate (financially) people more fairly. Unfortunately, in your profession, you have to put up with rude behavior to keep your job. It's not right, but that's the way it is with any kind of public service.

Is it really the money that does it, or is it the lifestyle that the money buys? I think it is the lifestyle personally. The PR person, and the assistants etc, which are all appointed by the celebrities 'employer' whether it be a record company, a publisher, etc. all cause this type of behavior. I personally agree with you, because other than the fact that they have more money than I will ever see, we are all the same, we all put are jeans on one leg at time, so there is nothing that makes them better than me.

Because society is fascinated with wealth and power. And we as individuals make up society!

That is why so many celebrities get away with things that "the common man" cannot. There is a different set of standards for most folks who have great wealth and power or high visibility.

Perhaps we as a society feel that peole who have "made it" are superior and do not have to follow the rules.

You don't need a response to your question, because you have NAILED it yourself!

It becomes more apparent as we 'march' through our lane of life that prejudicial behaviour leans more harshly in the direction of monetary matters than most others.

Stay upon the pathway that you are on - the nature of some isn't worth "...a penneth of piss in a seaweed paddock!"
