i have a very old yashica camera. the manual ones where you have to wind the film.

anyway i was reading the hand book and it says it takes mercury battery. but it is difficult to can hold of it instantly. so i was wondering wether it will work with:

You can find some info here:

Good Luck, but maybe it is time to upgrade to just plane modern 35mm. You can get them pretty cheap (maybe cheaper than experimenting with bad battery and bad exposure).

Have fun.

A LiMH battery has much less ability than the NiLi. NiLi has extra ability than the two the NiMH and NiCd batteries. NiMH have self draining time two times as speedy as a NiCd. consequently ability in Ni MH lasts two times as short as a NiCd. So powerwise i could think of NiLi - then NiCd and then NiMH. Pricewise NiLi are maximum costly

In the UK (and EU generally) mercury batteries are no longer sold. If you are in these areas this site will be able to offer you an alternative:- http://www.smallbattery.company.org.uk/

I don't agree with the first answer which says you should effectively ditch this camera. many good photographs are taken on allegedly outdated cameras.
