In all His dealings with mankind, God has told us that He was alone, and there was no other. So if you believe in God, you have to believe what He says also.

I'm one of those who believe there is a God, but admit that I don't have the foggiest idea of who/what this God even is. I used to think I knew . . . in fact, I was sure I was right, too, about God- that God is everything the bible says 'he' is, and then I read the book. Cover to cover. Inside out and backwards, I studied the books in the bible and realized that something was definitely missing. My 'faith' in the things I grew up believing, took a serious blow.

Nowadays, I see God more as an essence/energy- the culmination of everyone and everything. I can't see God as a 'person' because God supposedly has no image. I tend to think of God as the invisible power that gives us and all life and that keeps the universe in balance. There can't be a name or a face to God because when I look around, there are faces everywhere . . . human faces, animal faces . . . faces of countless beings, who all make up the whole of existence.

Hope that made sense. It's how I see it. I don't see that God can belong to just one religion or group. I don't see God as either male or female but rather that the image created of 'him' by those who wrote the 'holy' books, is merely a means by which to exalt men and degrade women, and, of course, to control the masses.

So yes, I think there is a God, and yes, the image in peoples' heads & hearts of God is as diverse as there are human beings.

That's about all I know at this point.

I am a Muslim but when I was younger and knew that there are many religions in the world, I used to think that each day, the many gods from each religion would take turns in deciding what the weather would be like.

But no matter. I go by the philosophy that all of us are trapped in a box. We each have a pin and all of us starts to prick a hole in the walls of the box. We each see a ray of light streaming into our respective holes and we believe in that and that only. However, what we seem to forget or ignore, is the fact that all the light came from one source. Hence, I believe in God, and that there's only one God, regardless of which religion we subscribe to.

There is only one GOD, and he has no son. Before you were born your soul made a promise to GOD, that when you will be sent to earth you will find your way back to Him and not forget Him. Do not be fooled by others or their lies. Take a little time and think deeply. Why you are here, what is your purpose and where will you go when you die.

let me show you something. what GOD has promised us.

27.
(To the righteous soul Will be said) "O (you) soul, In (complete) rest And satisfaction!

28.
Come back you To your Lord-- Well pleased (yourself), And well-pleasing Unto Him!

29.
"Enter, then, Among My Devotees!

30.
Yes, Enter My Heaven!"

Bro wish i could talk to you more, but i am at work and i have to go out now. hopefully i will talk to you agin.

Oargh! Mankind really frustrate me! For a start you must mean... "If there is a God". Because if there was...they would be eternal and therefor still would be. So "is". But to answer your question...yes! Zeus is father of the Gods (plural). Christian God says "I am a jealous god, so worship no other." Other what? Gods. God translates to Gravity cycle de, or de gravity cycle (circle), in other words "galaxy". There are many galaxies but there is only one "good father" who would therefor be...the universe! Good equals "gravity cycle, cycle de". The cycle of galaxies! Amon

I doubt that there are multiple Gods, because one God could never accept sharing control with another God.

There is a God. Only One God because if there were more than one God then if one willed for one thing to be a certain way and the other willed the opposite and we know opposite matters do not occur at one place and time then the one whose will was not fulfilled would be weak. And the weak is not God.

well that depends on whether or not you personally would like to be monotheistic or polytheistic in what you believe. that's your choice.

ex: i'm monotheistic and i believe that most major world religions are just duplicate and all worship the same and one God. one God, many religions.

The Bible speaks very plainly about many other Gods.
Here are a few examples from it's pages; Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 31:32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them. Genesis 35:2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments: Exodus 34:16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods. Deuteronomy 5:7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Deuteronomy 6:14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
Deuteronomy 7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. Joshua 23:16 When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you. Joshua 24:20 If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good. 1 Kings 18:24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. 1 Kings 18:25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.1 Chronicles 16:25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1 Chronicles 16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.Psalm 95:3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.Daniel 2:47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.
