to tell u about the prophet muhammed's life?! from a muslim.

B4 his mission as a prophet, Muhammad had no financial worries. As a successful & reputed merchant, Muhammad drew a satisfactory & comfortable income. After his mission as a prophet and because of it, he became worse off materially. To clarify this more, let us browse the following sayings on his life:
*one of Muhammad’s companions, said, “The Prophet of God did not see bread made from fine flour from the time God sent him (as a prophet) until he died.”
*another one of Muhammad’s companions, said that when the Prophet died, he left neither money nor anything else except his white riding mule, his arms, and a piece of land which he left to charity.
Muhammad lived this hard life till he died although the Muslim treasury was at his disposal, the greater part of the Arabian Peninsula was Muslim before he died, and the Muslims were victorious after eighteen years of his mission................

Despite his responsibilities as a prophet, a teacher, a statesman, and a judge, Muhammad used to milk his goat, mend his clothes, repair his shoes, help with the household work, and visit poor people when they got sick.He also helped his companions in digging a trench by moving sand with them His life was an amazing model of simplicity and humbleness.
Muhammad’s followers loved him, respected him, and trusted him to an amazing extent. Yet he continued to emphasize that deification should be directed to God and not to him personally. Anas, one of Muhammad’s companions, said that there was no person whom they loved more than the Prophet Muhammad , yet when he came to them, they did not stand up for him because he hated their standing up for him,as other people do with their great people.
Long before there was any prospect of success for Islam and at the outset of a long and painful era of torture, suffering, and persecution of Muhammad and his followers.

Muhammad and his few followers did not only suffer from persecution for thirteen years but the unbelievers even tried to kill Muhammad several times. On one occasion they attempted to kill him by dropping a large boulder, which could barely be lifted, on his head.Another time they tried to kill him by poisoning his food. What could justify such a life of suffering and sacrifice even after he was fully triumphant over his adversaries? What could explain the humbleness and nobility which he demonstrated in his most glorious moments when he insisted that success is due only to God’s help and not to his own genius?

mim! what u've said are untrue about him, and yes he is great :
*la martin
Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images; the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?
(Lamartine, HISTOIRE DE LA TURQUIE, Paris, 1854, Vol. II, pp. 276-277. )
*Michael H. Hart
My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level.
(Michael H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York: Hart Publishing Company, Inc., 1978, p. 33.)
*Encyclopedia Britannica
Muhammad is the most successful of all Prophets and religious personalities.

person above me have misconception about Islam ... Prophet Mohammed PBUH was the last prophet not the only prophet ... when ever Allah(god) sent a prophet it was for a certain nation but he sent prophet mohammed for the whole Mankind till the day of judgement ,,, that is his significance ... and once again When new laws are written old ones are terminated When Allah sent new Laws through Prophet Mohammed PBUH in Quran ... so the Bible and Torah should not be followed further ...

It is a truly beautiful book and it's written like a children's story so it's very easy to read. It is written by H A L Craig for any who are interested

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was offered riches, women, political power and so much more... but instead he lived a humble life as a servant of Allah (God). Never did he give up conveying the message of Allah (God), even when presented with such things. Allah (God) knows best!

Well, it is not really a question that you are asking.
Other than that I guess it is a nice enough story. Makes him sound to much like a Saint to be real though.

If Allah is the same God of Abraham why is there only one Prophet in Islam, is your religion that hard? Why are you allowed to deceive strangers, isn't False Witness one of the shall nots of the Ten Commandments?

No I think not you just copy and past can you tell the truth in your own words.
I think you have made it far to complicated he was a war munger who had a rich catholic wife and after her death went out to fight he took a jewess as wife after killing her family and was so kind as to let her morn her husband 3 days. after he had learned a little of christian and Jewish custums he thought he could bring the 2 faiths together. yet he ended up creating a new one which only coursed more wars. that is how I see it O an he married a 6 year old girl who he had dreamed about when she was new born that is hardly the acts of a prophet of God.
