hey i am a 17 yr old girl. i am not attracted to boys my age though. i feel they are immature. and a lot of them, cocky, mean, cold, etc. i feel a little guilty because i am attracted more to guys in their 20s or 30s. =( i feel growing up with this generation of guys my age i will have a hard time finding a husband. i feel many guys my age are too shallow and its really unattractive? anyone else feel this? am i wrong?

You do not have to date or be with guys your "age" now if you think they are unattractive. I am sure there are others(both male and female) that feel the same way you do. As for being wrong or not.. that's just your opinion. Others might share the same opinions.
Perhaps, you should reconsider about "..finding a husband."?? Being 17 yrs old, you might want to just enjoys life and experiences the world. There are many things in this world that are not taught in school.. try new things, have an open mind, and follow your curiosity.

Nope. You're not wrong, at all. That is true, some guys at 17 or younger really are shallow and cold, some aren't, you have to find the right ones. And don't worry about a husband now, lol, you're only 17. :-D But if you mean later on it will be a hard time finding a husband, yes, I guess it will. I also feel this way too, some guys my age are total assholes, and others aren't. And I don't think it's too safe dating a guy in their 20s or 30s, remember, you're still a minor. So date guys your age for awhile until you're at least 19 or 18. Good luck!

well, i know this isn't the same thing, but i'm 15 and i'm attracted to guys 2 or 3 years older than me and so are a lot of my friends. but trust me when i say that it's not cause we want older guys just to have older guys. guys my age don't really "get" the type of person i am. you know? it's like older guys are more matured and aren't your shallow, sterotypical kind of guy. even though are situation is different, i think it's pretty normal to be attracted to older guys. girls do mature quickly than guys so i think you should look for a guy that best fits the type of guy you're looking for. my parents are 5 years apart (my dad's older) and they've been doing great so far. good luck!

It's fine that you think boys around your age are immature and such. However I don't think you need to worry too much. Whenever the boys your age become in their 20s and 30s, you should like the just the same as you currently like older men or more.

I'm 17 also and i feel the same way guys our age jus play games and i'm also attracted to guys 20-24. I think they are more mature and know what they want in life. So i'm with u on this

I feel the same way....no lie guys r so immature so I date them at least 2 yrs older......im 15 but i like guys that r like 19-25.....but thats just me.....Good Luck!!!!

im 22 and i've always felt that way! i've never date guys my age, too boring for me. my first bf was 4yrs olders & my xbf was 11 yrs older. older men are more mature and they used to spoil me and were full of mature ideas. go with your gut but be careful not to be taken advantage of.

It's normal for teenage girls to prefer "older" men - they seem more mature, have their lives together and have more experience with women. =)
You won't have trouble finding a husband because of your preference. (Opposite, probably.)
