What Should I Get?

Question

Ok today is my birthday (16 y.o.) and my mom is taking me to get a tat but i dont know what I should get. I want it to be on my ankle and like I want it to represent my personality. I'm fun, down to earth, sweet, flirty, silly, smart, and caring. So what should I get??? I dont want it to be any names because I think that the body is art and only art should be put on it. Pics would be nice and nothing big remember I'm 16. =D

go w/ a butterfly. represents u r free ( not available, not that kind). fairies are always nice, b/c u can pick what expression they make. maybe a cool tribal heart. good luck anyway, i hope someone here has helped you. happy birthday girl! enjoy it to ur fullest! :)

First off I agree with the first answer. If you don't know what to get you probably shouldn't get one.

Second, 16 is too young. How could you know what you won't mind looking at for the rest of your life? Especially considering you're asking us what to get.

Third, if you go ahead and get one, make sure and read up on tattooed people and the job market. Visible tattoos do not help in getting good jobs. I've got a few myself but I can wear a short sleeve shirt and shorts and you won't see a single one of them.

Last, tattoos deteriorate over time (especially exposed ones). By getting one at such a young age your setting yourself up to have it re-inked quite a few times...

Considering its a tattoo, and you're probably going to have it for the rest of your life, YOU need to decide what you want.

I always thought Oriental flower patterns made beautiful tattoos.

On my 17th Birthday , this December, I'm getting a small heart on the inside of my writst. Sometimes just a small symbol, that means somthing to YOU is the best.

DON"T get some Chineese Lettering, they are soooo Over-tatted.

just makesure you get somthing that you know will still mean somthing to you when your 50.

You know what? this is somthin that you and your mom are doin together, right. First of all your mom is really ok with who you are and what you want. That is somethin special! Why not commerate your 16th B-day with somethin that is special for you and your mom? maybe it's somethin that only the two of you know about? A key could mean somethin, or a heart, or wings or a love heart with wings . Be creative! You can do it! Just think of something special!

At this point nothing. Wait and decide. Tattoos shouldn't be made in a forum, or in a rushed decision. Please think everything over. Talk to your mom and see if you can take her up on the offer after you know what you want, and are sure you can live with it.

It may be a good idea to wait until you get to the tattoo artist's shop before deciding, maybe even go there before to decide. No one can really decide for you unless they know you.

I have an orca (killer whale) on my shoulder - they are beautiful but dangerous animals, part of the reason I chose it. They are also one of my favourite animals. I also have a tribal on my lower back. Tribals are usually really cool.

i would say a butterfly.
butterflies are a symbol of fun and flirty personalities.
(and they're really cute)
butterflies are also delicate so you can only imagine that they're caring. :)
