Right now I am with Arts & Sciences undecided, and these are the departments under that- http://www.as.ttu.edu/Departments/departments.html

The FBI website says that everyone wanting to apply for a Special Agent position must be qualified under either computer sciense, accounting, law, foreign language, or diversified. Does that mean I have to major in one of those or could i minor in it?

Its clear that most people haven't read your whole question, as it answers itself. Yes you must major in one of the listed fields for an automatic pass on that requirement. Exceptions are made but don't count on it. Don't consider criminal justice as a major they don't accept it unless you also have time as a police officer.

As another said a MAJOR in one of the listed fields puts you at the top of the list. Exceptions will be made here and there otherwise but it would be more likely you would get in as support....... and then try to be an agent. Once in you would be more aware of their needs.

As in any field speaking to an FBI recruiter would be key. There may even be some sort of program to identify and guide people who have shown interest. Many agencies do this (though not sure about the FBI) because they can fill much needed slots later. They can arrange internships and such. Regardless contacting a recruiter of having to speak to an agent for a paper would give you an in and maybe even a mentor. Someone who could later help you along. I'm in my 40s and have been military/government all of my life with contact with you name the agency. Several times with having someone simply ask me and with the right attitude (this is key) I have helped someone along.

Accounting and Psychology may be stable for the FBI i think of you will possibly get greater milage out of a Political-technology degree and the skill to communicate Arabic on the CIA. except you desire to artwork as a lab tech bypass on the forensics degree All you incredibly choose for the CIA or FBI is a BS or BA. FBI and CIA webpages provides you with each and all of the documents you will choose.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is well known for crunching numbers, this usually leads to criminal investigations which result in convictions of the suspects.

Major in Accounting, graduate in the top 1% of your class, and the FBI will come a knocking at your door.
Speaking a couple of languages is also a big PLUS!

Well that is saying major in one of those or.. diversified meaning a combination of those types of things.
Pick what you are interested in doing with them, and Major in that and maybe minor in one of the others.

Being able to speak and understand another language (s) is a big plus in joining the G-Men.

Being able to hack into computers is also a plus.

Engineering, forensic science, and criminology are good majors as well.

Good luck!

You need a major in a least one of those fields. No matter which one you pick, select a foreign language as well, it is a huge plus.

You should minor in "Primping for the camera" and "Looking good in my suit"
