If I earned a $750 in the Dallas area of Texas, how much am I actually going to take home after tax.

18 years old, living on own in 1 bedroom apartment.

They have a program that will calculate your net pay depending on what you file your W-4 and the respective state the wages are earned.

Did you earn all this in one paycheck? How many federal deductions did you claim on your 2007 W-4 form? Do you have a second job? Is this your main job? We can't even begin to answer your question until you answer those. Your age and living arrangements are irrelevant to the answer.

The Federal Withhold tables you are looking for are on page 24 of the following link:
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p15a.pdf
Don't forget to deduct 0.062 for Social Security($750 x 0.062)and 0.0145 for Medicare($750 x0.0145).
Before you take out your Federal withholding you have about $714.37

It's hard to tell you as The tax you pay goes by the amt. you make and there is a standard tax reduction allowance also. Please call them to get accurante info. I always check with the irs and I have them done by tax people. It's better to be safe than sorry. They have a toll free # and I can't find my phone book. bettyk
