I am a soldier and I have this recurring dream. I dreamt that I was being chased by this man with a circular saw and I was very afraid. I hid under a table and saw the mans lower leg pacing left and right. I kept thinking " please do not let him look under the table and see me". Well, He looked under the table and saw me. He then proceeded to put the end of a pistol on my forehead while i was crying. All of a sudden, he pulled the trigger and all I saw was black and my ears are ringing... ringing, and ringing and everything is black. Please help me. What does this dream mean?

Dying: To dream of dying, foretells that you are threatened with evil from a source that has contributed to your former advancement and enjoyment. To see others dying, forebodes general ill luck to you and to your friends. To dream that you are going to die, denotes that unfortunate inattention to your affairs will depreciate their value. Illness threatens to damage you also. To see animals in the throes of death, denotes escape from evil influences if the animal be wild or savage. It is an unlucky dream to see domestic animals dying or in agony. [As these events of good or ill approach you they naturally assume these forms of agonizing death, to impress you more fully with the joyfulness or the gravity of the situation you are about to enter on awakening to material responsibilities, to aid you in the mastery of self which is essential to meeting all conditions with calmness and determination.] See

This is very interesting to me. I also have had some dreams (nightmares) in which I 've died. These dreams also occurred while I was in the army. Additionally, they also involved a mortal wound to the head. One was a rattle snake in rose bushes; one was a run away sub-machine gun; and one was a head wound from a hand grenade. I was lying in a rice patty and put my hand up to see my hand covered with blood before I sank into enough water to drown me. In answer to what your dream may reflect can only be a subject of speculation. I would guess that your dream could be interpreted as a severance from the world you know. The saw represents the power and effect from the cutting of the umbilical cord that connects you to your reality, whatever that may be. I know that you did not say how long you have been a member of the armed forces, but my dreams began after about a year and a half of service. I also thinks these dreams could interpreted as a desire to get out alive, and a fear that orders to go to Iraq would be potentially disastrous. I still have reoccurring nightmares 40 years after going to Vietnam. I do wish you well. And I salute you.

To see the dead in your dream, forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. You may suffer material loss. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on.

If you dream of a person who has died a long time ago, then it suggests that a current situation or relationship in you life resembles the quality of that deceased person. The dream may depict how you need to let this situation or relationship die and end it.

To see and talk with your dead parents in your dreams, represents your fears of losing them or your way of coping with the loss. You may want that last opportunity to say your final good-byes to them.

To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend alive in your dream, indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one.

while to see or use a saw in your dream, indicates that you need to quit doing something. The dream may also be a pun on something you saw or are seeing.

and to dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal, represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

Sounds like a very terrifying experience. I would suggest that a repetitive dream of this intensity might be worth discussing with your GP ( doctor). And that then any underlying issues might be resolved for you which may be causing such a frightening experience.

Wrong......Dying means rebirth. Your not going to die, but find a new rebirth out of a situation. It's a good thing!!! Be Safe Soldier!

its probably a warning of sorts to your health, to your relationships, and so many things. Try relax or meditate before you sleep, sometimes you also need to pray just to keep those bad dreams away... look back to your life and take good care of yourself and your relationships...
its probably too much stress. relax!
