How can she be a professional in the US when she is illegal therefore no working rights??
If your story is true I'd suggest her to get a good lawyer, although I don't think they'll be able to help, and US kids or not you will most likely be banned from re entering the US for a while, if you are deported.

Illegal immigration causes many problems that's for sure. That is an indisputable fact. Given your estimate of 20 million illegals let's proceed from there. Let's say even 1/3 of them are holding jobs. That's almost 7 million people in the workforce. Contributing to the tax base etc. That would leave 7 million job vacancies. Would our nation be able to handle that many leaving the workforce? Probably not. Would Americans step into these jobs for the pay offered? Probably not. Companies bottom line is profit. Would they raise wages to get Americans to work these jobs? Probably not. More companies would begin to outsource. Thus leaving many Americans out of jobs that now hold jobs. Our entire country would collapse and the Great Depression would look like a cakewalk. As I've said illegal immigration is wrong and needs to stop. But we also need to be realistic on deporting as you say 20 million people. Believe me...It's not going to happen for various reasons. So we must move forward and think of realistic ways to deal with the situation at hand and also insure the illegal situation is stemmed in the future. Better border security and visa systems need to be taken care of first and foremost so the situation doesn't progressively get worse. Once the flow is stopped we can then work on what to do with those already here.

uh she had 10 years to apply for citizenship? She also had kids in the US knowing she was illegal? Basically she had more enough time to get her act together to keep her family together....she knew she could be deported at any time but yet that didnt matter...her kids didnt matter enough to gain citizenship to avoid this type of problem....all I can say is she acted irresponsibly and gave no care to the furture of her family......not surprised in the least.

I feel sorry for the kids... The legal authorities will do what the laws permit them to do, which is to send her back to Mexico. The children born in the us are us citizens. They can stay here in the USA. She needs to go through whatever process she needs to to be here legally!! Now that she is caught I don't know if they will let her marry her boyfriend right now!! You said she is your sister-in-law...so you married her sister or brother?? Looks like she should have done that as soon as she got here and made herself legal!!!

First you said she has 2 kids, US born, they you say she has 3 American born kids, two living with her, a 9 and 10 yrs old. Then you said, two kids has no passport. Being a professional, she should have known to do things the legal way. Just because she has a American citizen boyfriend does not give her the right to be here illegally. Since the story itself contradicts itself., If immigration does it's job and the present laws on the books are enforced, she and her two illegal kids , should have to go back to Mexico and make application to come to US legally. Guess it is time to pay for not doing things legally in the first place. I am sure immigration will handle it, nothing no one else can do anyway.

She and 2 of the kids are going bye-bye, the 3 American kids should go live with their daddy or they can go to other relatives or she could choose to take them with her.
The 3 American children she had will not keep her from being deported.

She's going to be deported. It doesn't matter if she gets married to her boyfriend or not. She can take her kids back with her or she can give custody of them to you and your husband.
She'll be banned from returning to the United States for 10 years.

Her only option would be to marry her American boyfriend. And even then, you still have to go through paper work once you are married to become legal, it doesn't just happen.
As for her kids, unless someone in America that is here legally can keep them here for her, they will go back with her. They can sponser her for citizenship, but not until they turn 18.
Having an American boyfriend and legal kids doesn't matter. if you're here illegally, they can/will deport you.

So besides being a criminal, she had children out of wedlock!
What kind of a person is she?
Hopefully, she will be deported. The children can go with her or can be put up for adoption.
