So..there's this boy. We're in high school and he's one year ahead. We met just a few days before school got out and have now known each other for a little over a month. We hang out a lot one on one, and talk on the phone or online every day, and both know that we really like each other. We have kissed a lot, but nothing further. Yet we are not "officially together," we started talking about where this was going once, but what he said was, that a relationship is "a lot" and we may be expecting different things. And he means what he says, if we did have a relationship, he would take it seriously. We never quite finish and I don't know what to do. He's really sweet and attentive and intact with his emotions. Why is he waiting? If he just wants a fling, then why would he talk to me every night to see how my day went, and chat for hours into the night about anything and everything? He really connects with me and shares. So I'm confused.

I really think he just trying to get to know you a little more before he asks you out. Think about it, you guys talk everyday, kissed, and connect. So its quite obvious he probably likes you a lot, but I guess he is just the type of guy to play it safe. He wants to make sure 100% that you are the right girl for him before he goes into a relationship with you. Just give him some time, he'll come fourth soon.

It really does sound like a fling but it is abnormal to hear that he chats for hours into the night about anything and everything. Also you two have kissed a lot and you guys don't say your relationship is nothing further. You probably should approach him on this and ask "What's up?" He's probably thinking you guys are going out or not going out. The thing is that you don't know.

He is just taking it slow he wants to make sure that you all are both on the same page. I mean it would suck if you liked him or he liked you but the other didn't care as much. He wants a serious relationship and he is wanting to make sure you like him and want that to. If not then he will move on to someone who is, if so then that's great and you all can get together. You just need to find out what he thinks of you and how he thinks of you. Then you need to let him know the same about how you think of him.

Sounds as if you are rushing into something. He sounds like he is being sensible. If he was just using you, he would have already tried to have sex with you. Be patient, anything worth having is worth waiting for.
