.......is the combined fault of man and/or Satan?

For instance, man (or woman, I ain't sexist) invents the cure for AIDS. Does this happens due to God's most wonderful grace, or because a man (or chick......I am a little sexist, I lied) was smart enough, and all the credit is due to him?

But say an African child is orphaned by AIDS, and with no one to support him (or her....it's too serious right now for jokes) he will surely die of starvation.

Is this man and/or Satan's fault?

And if the answer is "no" to the question: "Bible believers, do you believe everything good is God, and everything bad is the combined fault of man and/or Satan?" I'm curious to hear what exceptions you feel there are to this rule.

Well, said applejockey, Good or Bad are just terms relatively to what we experience. You wouldn't have known what was good if not for "bad" to be there to measure against. Life is full of that. Good, bad, right, wrong, big, small, etc. Yet if we look at it simply, they are all that they are. Pure and simple. Do not mistake pure as "good" but in a way as complete and whole. People who chose to create an image around something they think is "bad" could because they have been taught so, or the society accepts it. Truth is truth. So do you take the bible for every word because man wrote the bible in an attempt to describe god. Good intentions originally but... Words can be misleading. Because of free will given by God, God's message can also be misintepreted and recorded as what Man wanted for themselves, power, worship, control and will twist in someways to sound legitimate as god but subtley put in what would favour them the leaders to gain from the followers. God is pure as it is, God is everywhere and everything. Why is it that some religions would have God depicted as male? Why is it that a God who has created everything with love and purity, have "conditions" to love you if you loved God first? Why would a God need your worship and service if it can create anything it wills? Who, then needs the worship and service other than Man. There is truly no good or evil, only meanings attached to it by Man. We are pure as God's creation and pure in everything. A baby is born pure and simple. A baby knows nothing but seeks everything. Life is an experience. The more you withold, the more they seek. Experience in everything there is that is creation of God through us. We, too are creation of God and for that why would anyone "own" you? Your parents, society, friends or even what you call religion do not "own" you. You are God's creation. So how does God communicate with you? If the Bible is your answer, you are simply following Man, not God. For Bible is physically written by Man. Why would a God so great chose pass messages through a book? God has communicated with us through everything created in us. Mind, Body and Soul. What you call inner voice/imagination/gut feeling, you have dismissed as the devil's voice/temptation/evil. God gave us free will/choice but yet we have chosen to trust the words of Man instead of thoughts communicated to us. Why are we discriminating against women who are the people who produce life and calling people who have a different view a Radical or a group teaching you to accept their word on what is right or wrong when you have not even experienced it. God created everything pure as it is, Love is all there is. God is not judging in anyway nor does God love one and not the other because all are God's creations. If God is with us all the time, everytime, why bother quoting from a bible(written by Man anyway) when God has always been communicating with you all along. Question is, are you open and conscious of God?

It is true that God is responsible for all good things, not all good actions of man. Perhaps He was responsible for the intelligence of the person who solved the AIDs problem; perhaps he put the right things in the right place for the right people to find. Maybe not.
The child just might be left for others to have the opportunity to do something 'Christ like'. And, because they did not, the child died. The child will be in the arms of the Father which is a far better place than anyplace on this earth. Or, maybe the sins of the father are being visited upon his children. That does not mean that specific father, but humans in general.
Then again, maybe God or man or satan are not at all involved in your scenario. (they are definitely involved in most scenarios). We don't know His ways. We can only ask questions and satisfy our own need to figure Him out. We will, eventually. At the end. But not in this lifetime.

Just my take on the whole thing. I'll praise Him in any case. He has the best offer on the table.

A lot of things are mans fault. Satan plays a role too. God has a plan and probably one I wouldn't understand as either good or bad. I guess the question is can you weigh fire? If you cant understand an every day thing like fire then how can you understand Gods plan and why bad or good things happen.

Every good gift and every perfect present is from above, for it comes down from the Father of the [celestial] lights, and with him there is not a variation of the turning of the shadow James 1:17

Yes, in her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth.” Revelation 18:24 ('her' being Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion) False religion is in some way responsible for ALL deaths including those from AIDS.

Although a scientific cure for this horrible disease would indeed be wonderful and could prove a blessing for many people, God's solution to this problem and others that plague mankind, is much more efficient, effective and permanent with no harmful side effects. Anyone sincerely wanting to know more about this is welcome to e-mail me.

Hmm... I would say yes with the caveat "only good comes from God" not "everything good". In the instance you said where a scientist discovers the cure for AIDS then yes credit does go to him. If he credits God's inspiration then, thank God, if not, so be it, go scientist.

Now orphaned African, yes my worldview says that ultimately it's the result of the fall. So, yes, ultimately man's/Satan's fault.

I have been there so many times I can't count, but for the last few years I have stuck with a church and made friends and it has made such a difference in my life. The biggest difference in my life is knowing Jesus and going to church or not going to church doesn't change that. What staying with the church did was help me grow more than I do when I'm not in a church. This time around I started becoming involved more. I began helping out in the children's ministry and began making friends. I had to go more than just Sunday mornings to do this. Now I am involved in the women's ministry and the sky is the limit as far as how I can serve Him. If you don't think this is the church for you, maybe find another one, but don't give up on fellow-shipping with other people who love to worship your God. It's a commitment. We don't like those sometimes, do we? But they are worth it. It's important to God so it must be good for us. God bless you on your journey.

I believe God created Good & evil. Man has choices to make& has messed up this world with sickness & dieases. God does not wish to see His creations suffer. The world is not fair now, but one day it will be as God intended it to be from the beginning. We are to Love one another & pay it forward. Look in the mirror and ask if it is in my hands to do good, why don't I become part of the solution & do good. What if everyone had love in their hearts for their fellow man? What a different world we would live in. But, it is in man's heart to do evil. And the world suffers because of the choices we make. Chose life and to love one another.Peace

Have u heard of cause and effects? If there is a Satan that is responsible then he could be Santa (same letters in the spelling of Satan rearanged). The plannet we live on has all cures for every sickenss but because of ignorance and miseducation we are prevented from healing our selves and others.

Jesus said that God is the only Good. Satan fell in love with the beauty that GOD gave him. So he was driven out of heaven. So Satan loves to drag every man down to hell with him. Yes, evil is of Satan AND man.
