I'm borned in Romania .. but currently live in New York City..US .. i have a valid visa for 5 years(can be extend more ) for US ... how can i get a green card .. or a permanent residence ? ...Because i know .. that if you have legal visa .. and live for 5 years in US ....you receive .. a permanent residence or a green Card !!
I know that i have valid visa .. but i want to become US Citizen !!

It depends on what class of visa you have now and whether you are "in status." Some classes allow "Adjustment of Status" to LPR and some require you to return to your home country before you can apply.

Green Card and Permanent Residency are the same.

The fastest way to get a Green Card is to marry an American.

Then when you get your Green Card, it is valid for ten years.
After five years you can apply for the American Citizenship.

So the easiest way for you is just to wait.
