God ALLOWED it, in answer to Satan's lies. Like in the courtroom, one must provide proof for his allegations. Satan publically denounced humankind (not just Job) that we would never love or follow God unless he gave us everything our hearts desired. God allowed Job to be tested thus as an answer these lies (note that billions of angels were watching as well). The next time Satan tries to pull this stunt, God can answer him with the example of Job, that humans do deserve another chance.

I've always wondered why God didn't just say, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." Instead, he took Satan up on his deal. I'm sure it was done this way because the ancient storytellers wanted to make a point about faith but didn't want their God to seem so cruel and spiteful. So they had Satan do it all. And then in a ridicuolous fairy-tale ending, they had their God restore what Job had, many times over.
Despite their efforts, God still comes out as a ranting, raving, callous, narcissistic, brutal bully.

God allows Satan to do all he wants to Job except kill him. Satan wanted to try to prove that Job only loved God because He prospered him. Satan was proved wrong!!! Job never knew why those things happened to him o this world. What an example of perseverance and not sinning. Whew!

God created all, and created choice, and Lucifer chose to become an evil force, which entered the world. When Adam and Eve encountered the evil force, they succumbed of their own will. They did not have to. Because of that, even following the perfect Jewish Law was not enough to find salvation, because evil compelled us to sin. Jesus Christ broke this hold, and by rising from the dead, conquered sin and death, and offered us a way to break free of the evil in the world.

The Bible makes it clear that satan is the god of this world...... but God is in total control of all things, why He allows satan to create hovac and distruction and test for and to us ? Only God in his wisdom knows..... but, all the things satan is allowd to do and mess up is part of letting us, with freewill, decide who we worship and believe......Look at it this way if you can..... If there were no evil or bad we would all be like robots and just have the knowlege that there is God, but God did not want robots, He wants us to love him for who and what he is, freely and by our own choice, not because everything is perfect....... I pray this helps....... God bless

Yeah, an all powerful being and he falls prey to Satan. If God were really superior he would of told Satan to go **** himself. I mean, he's god, what does he have to prove to Satan. So, he says yes and lets Satan do it. So yes, it was gods doing.
