and also try to come up with a reason that this guy hasnt shot down, and immigration actually stimulate economy and actually immigrants are mostly migrant workers and not criminals, america has white people for that
Because it is a simple--albeit unrealistic--solution to a complex problem. A wall would cost billions of dollars and do little to stop illegal immigration to this country. It is nothing but a feel-good ("feel tough") attempt to appeal to the anti-immigration crowd of the United States. Unfortunately, we are in an era when viewing issues in a black or white ("we are good, they are bad") reference is dominant. Too many U.S. citizens refuse to deal with the things they are doing to encourage illegal immigration (like demanding low prices for goods and services, but being unwilling to deal with the atmosphere of greed it creates), and find in immigrants a convenient scapegoats for the ills their greed has created.

I think that every country, has the right to establish the means of stopping illegal immigration, because they elected a government that really represents the majorities views and wishes...
What I dont agree, is the height of the so called wall....it should be 7 kilometers high......in thet manner, all the cold waves that come south and the pollution of the factories in south USA, will never reach the skies of mexico....
It will stop a lot of things, starting with the fragile relation thet both neighbors have....
I live in Mexico, so....what do I care???
If the wall makes USA people happy....why stopping the building of the so called wall.....????? It will be a barrier to alien ideas, pornography, drug addiction, lack of family values, and selfishness greed for money (anything for a buck) etcetera....USA will live happier and we will live happier....

Statistically speaking then, the average illegal immigrant cost people in the US at least $10,000 per year for a total of at least $120 billion annually. (Some studies say it's $400 billion).
Crime is the number one expense. Illegal immigrants comprise around 20% of the state and federal prison population. This expense is just a drop in the bucket compared to additional costs of all crimes caused by illegals and their offspring. Of course, other classes of people perpetrate crime but none to this extent.
I hope now you can understand how cost effective a wall in combination with electronics would be even if it cost $20 billion per year.
BTW, just under half the Hispanic citizens in the US support measures to stop illegal immigration. Last time I heard, most did not consider themselves white. If you factor out children of illegal immigrants, it is way over half.
So obviously, this issue is not about race. It is more about breaking the laws of a sovereign nation to avoid screening for education, experience, criminal history, disease, and most importantly, potential for long term survival without becoming a burden on the taxpayers.
Your argument that only illegal immigrants will do the "dirty work" is specious. Due to globalization and marginalization, millions of US citizens these days are willing to do this work. They just need to be networked as well as the illegal immigrants are to identify these opportunities. It might cost business a little more to hire them but certainly less than the at least $10,000 hidden cost an illegal immigrant incurs.

If nothing else it is a visual deterrent and a loud shout that we don't want any illegals in our nation. If the wall is manned, it's going to help stop the illegals. We don't need more criminals, those we have enough of, and the guy who quoted prison stats, proportionally the Hispanics are jailed at the highest rate in this country, especially in Californa.

i agree with you is a waste of resources because a wall its only an illusion, its easy to make a hole and get across,
in many sections of the border there is a wall already is it stoping people? NO
but let the government waste taxpayers money.
let me as a contractor charge 45 dollar an hour
by the time the wall is done, i will have more money than Bill gates. and the wall will not work..........

To stop the influx of illegal aliens from entering our borders. Security is the key and in this day and age we must put aside our personal feelings and deal with the issues at hand.

The supporters of a wall do not just come from white people. I know people of many different races who support the idea of a wall.
Saying such false things spreads racism and hate.
You have NO proof of what you are saying .

Because the US in mostly white people. White people with guilty consciences from all the injustice our forefathers did while settling this country. Many of the white people are baby boomer generation and are very liberal and as they are getting ready to retire in vast numbers, 78 million to be exact, they don't want to see their benefits eroded by people who sneak over our borders and demand amnesty. White people just want our immigration laws followed. They also want to retain out language, and culture.
