Why only ONE true church? Why can't there be many different ways to get there? Is it just so churches can keep their members and their money?

There doesnt.
It is my beliefs that there are many paths and all lead to the same destination.
It is Christianity that does not respect or validate others or their beliefs. Claiming they are the "Only True Way"

Please know that it is ok to seek out your own spiritual path and never to be afraid to question anyone, anything, any thought or any belief. For it is by asking and seeking that we grow spiritually and find our own truth.

I hope you find what it is you seek

Apart from you having your own way what need is there to have many different ways to God, anyway what makes you think that heaven was what God planed for humans? What about the Earth then why do we live here ?There can only be one true Church because with all the diverse beliefs in the diversity of types of religion on the earth today they cannot all be truth especially since they disagree so fiercely. If your Doctor gave you a medication to treat a serious illness would you ask him why it had to be that specific one why you couldn't take just any medication? Or if you had 10 or even 100 glasses of water on the Table and the person who ushered you into the room where the Table is told you that only one Glass was just water , the others have poison mixed with the water, and you are thirsty so would you drink from just any glass on the table or would you make further enquiries to try to find out which glass was the safe one to drink?

There is no "one true church". That's something that was made up not only by the catholic church but by the mormon church as well. Both claim to be the "one true church," regardless who was before the other. And the true is, neither one of them care what the Word of God say no more than the man in the moon does!

When I hear them talk about what they really don't understand, I don't know whether to laugh at them or cry for them. Why, because neither one of them believe Christ is the "only" way to heaven. Both actually believe they can work their way to heaven. Of course, they claim on one side of their mouth that's not true and claim just the other on the other side. How do I know this? Because the historical writings of the vatican clearly proclaim that Mary is the saviour of the world. I use to be a catholic.

Under the 1546 writings that took place at the "Council of Trent", anyone who believes that they are 100% saved by the blood of Jesus Christ is a heretic and is worthy of death.

Why do American catholics disagree with me? Because there is a difference between what the Americans have been taught to believe vs. thoughs in Europe and South America.

There is an American Indian in my home town that is scared to death of what the catholic church might do to him or his family if he should he ever seek the Word of God outside of mama. He is in his late '70's to mid '80's. As God is my witness! And I know of another person in Mexico who has made the same claim!

There is only one way to get to heaven silly girl. Everyone knows what it is but most are afraid to say it. What is it? Death. As for the church. I agree with you. It is for money and control. After all churches are run by mortal beings. If they can't keep the people by love, they keep them by fear. It's just that simple.

There are many ways to each end. In reality, the only one holding anyone back from going anywhere after they die, or just staying here, is you. You can be reincarnated after living as a Christian, you can go to Nirvana after being Atheist your whole life. You can go to hell after living a wonderful, happy, good life, if you really want to. But then again, hell isn't what hell's claimed to be. The only ones who truly get punished are the murderers, the rapists, the ones who deserve such horrible punishment. They're judged by the God or gods of their religion. Other than that, the paths are before you, and you can choose which one you'd like to walk, knowing the other one is right next to you, should you want to hop over.

All I know is, if there is only one way to the North Pole, and I want to go there, then I would appreciate it if someone told me the truth, about how to get there. If they didn't want to offend me, or hurt my feelings, and they told me that there were a few ways, when there really was only one, then that person would lying to me. I don't believe Jesus was a liar. He spoke to truth to people, hard as it was to hear. He was the anti PC.

There are many ways in reaching God & His Kingdom.
...but the fastest & surest way of reaching the promised "Paradise" for all is through Jesus Christ.

Why?
...it is prophesied in OT that God will send a Savior in this world to save mankind from being wasted & thrown to hell.
...New Testament attest:
- JC is overshadowed by God`s Holy Spirit since conception (to live, function and lead people under God`s idealism)
- "word" become flesh and dwelth among us. The "Immanuel" (God is with us).
- JC is the "living" covenant alive (Torah in action)...(i.e...the covenant between God & His people written before through Moses).
- JC is the only witness about the Spirit world of The Gods, who come down to tell us what God really wants from us people.
- JC is the only person who can tell us what The Father God in Heaven had been doing & planning for the future of humanity, the world...and His everlasting Kingdom in Heaven.

Do you know of anybody who knew all about God The Father in Heaven...except Jesus Christ ???

So, please listen to Him (JC), instill in your mind everything He said, be guided by His ways of life here on earth...and you are sure in the right way to...God`s "Promised land, The "Heaven", The "New Jerusalem".

So, Good Luck !!!...and... Be Blessed !!!

When Jesus came to earth, we were given the full revelation of God through Him. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light. No one can come to the Father except by me.” (paraphrasing).

He was telling us that there is ONLY one way to God, and that way is through Him and Him alone. That’s what it means to be Christian. If someone doesn’t believe that, then they’re saying there are other ways, like Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, or whatever else you can think of, and that would be directly against what Jesus said above.

Jesus also gave us one Church, one Faith. He didn’t teach the apostles 12 different faiths, or give them one faith and tell them they could preach whatever version they felt like. They were given one Faith, one authority, and they’re job was to teach and protect the one Faith. That Faith was preserved and set down in one Church, not 200 different kinds. This is historical fact. The one Church is the Roman Catholic Church. No matter who likes or doesn’t like that, it is the facts.

And so, the one Church and the one Faith follow in line with the ONE way to heaven: Jesus Christ.

Well, why does 2+2 only have one answer? Why can your 1040 tax form only be filled out correctly one way? Why are there one way streets? It's not like having the "right way" to do something is a unique concept.

Besides, it's not like it's a horribly difficult way. Repent of your selfishness, greed, and so on...accept Christ as your Lord and Savior...that's pretty much it. Is that asking too much?
