Most tiles have a very good adhesive that will stick to almost anything. If the linoleum is clean and not full of ground in debris it should be fine.I have done it several times and I have put it on 1/4 luaun and old,old vinyl floors and they stuck the same either way.besides it should last long enough till someone wants too change the tile anyway.
It is best to pull it up or go over it with thin plywood but it should be fine.

in case you do not placed it down wisely/completely, particular, it relatively is going to initiate peeling up on the corners rather quickly. on a similar time as you are going to be tempted to place it down on precise of the vinyl flooring you have already got, this may well be certain a vulnerable bond and create 2 failure factors - the adhesive on the hot tile, or the adhesive on the previous vinyl. in case you may abdomen the greater advantageous artwork, pulling up the previous vinyl is the only thank you to make the hot stuff final. For an exceedingly small investment of around $30 you may %. up a flooring e book at your community ironmongery save. once you talk approximately the time, attempt and money in touch in abode rennovations, those books are worthwhile. good success!

It really shouldn't be a problem. But in a bathroom with a lot of moisture it's better if you put a moisture wicker down on the linoleum first. use a small notch trowel for this and multi purpoise glue let the glue set for a bit before you roll wicker(like the back side of vinyl sheet goods)into glue ,it's better to cut wicker in first then pull half back, and glue half at a time.roll out with a push broom and let dry completely. Then put a clear thin spread adhesive down with a small notch trowel,it willdry clear and be tacky. When you install peel and stick it will be like contact cement and that isn't going anywhere,Remember to pull baseshoe off first, and undercut doorjambs. GOOD LUCK!

you should rip up the linoleum first. I don't think the vinyl tiles will stick well to the linoleum, which will cause a big mess.

I've done it - in a small utility room about 12 months ago and it still looks great!

I did it in my kitchen 4 years ago. It still looks good. I would go for it if I were you.
