Congrats on adopting a new kittie! I love Calico cats with their beautiful fur colors.

As for naming her, I understand why you don't want to name her Cali. It can be tough naming a new cat, and it's a very personal decision. You don't have to feel rushed to pick a name right away.

Some possible names...this is hard!:
Anya
Autumn
Bella
Brandy
Briana
Calista
Candy
Charla
Charlotte
Clara or Clarabell
Daisy
Emma
Fiona
Fluffy
Gretchen

Calicos have great personalities! They are very loyal to their person.

You may just want to have her around for a couple of days then name her.

My calico is name Lilian because she is like a little princess. BTW~ Calicos Rule

I was going to get a calico and she already had a name. They had named her Pixie which i thought was a cute name. My friends have a calico too and her name is Daisy. You might be able to use one of those. Good luck with your name search!

All Calico's are female. Playful and energetic. How about Pounce?

Once you spend some time with her you might see what type of personality she has to help you and to see what she reminds you of. I always liked nature names like "Shadow" for a gray cat, etc. I named one of my cats Callie which is also short (to me) for Cala Lily, a pretty flower and because she is a pretty cat - it just fit her. If you like nature names, too, you could think of flowers and things you like like. Here's a few from friends of mine. Kayla, Niki, Tabby, Puff, Mitzi,
Stormy, Misty, Lightning, Daisy, Shauna, etc. You could also look up baby names for ideas. Enjoy your new kitty! I've found that if I'm always patient and kind, the love and trust I've gotten back is just wonderfully heartwarming! I've had one of mine for 15 years now and she brings me joy every day.
